Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Really, in these days of streaming all you need to make sure you have stocked is popcorn and hot chocolate. Thankfully the days of rushing Blockbuster for emergency movies are gone.
In Columbus we called it White Death. Had to tell the new co-worker from SE Pennsylvania the difference between “white death” and the dusting of snow we were going to get …. poptarts and beer …..
This is why everyone should have a BOB (Bug Out Bag). And your home should be equipped with a well stocked pantry, and easily accessible camping gear like a Colman stove and such if you are snowed in and your stove is not working. Lots of info out there if you just look.
Ninety-seven inches??? That’s almost rounded off to three yards… That snow fall would reach almost past the first story of a house… Yikes!!! But seriously, yes, this winter there were such snowfalls with drifts against doors and windows. People anticipated them and they brought in their snow shovels and dug tunnels to the main sidewalk. In the Buffalo they called it Lake Effect snowfall—it is all because the lakes do not freeze early any more, and those large snowfalls with such drifts are very common nowadays.

I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be panicking if a 97 inch snowfall were predicted for Colorado.
Mostly because I live in Massachusettes.

What Katy doesn’t realize is that the news station changed over to metric.
They predicted 97 mm.

That would be nearly a world record for single-day snowfall.
