Our “issue”, perhaps a new baby.

Yeaaaaaa!! Gene’s saying, “She’s having my baby.”

It’s been a “issue” for years but I couldn’t find talk of their “Baby Project” since 2016.

The word “Issue” has a different meaning when used in creating a will, hence Gene’s response of “Interesting choice of words, Mom.”

She’s with child and they want a bigger place.

I’m sure JJ is looking at ways to retire the strip gracefully. A&J moving house would be a good way.

At first glance, I thought that bird in the third panel was a paper wasp nest. I thought “what a strange thing to draw in today’s comic.” I suppose the only thing strange today is someone who is prone to not look close enough at such things properly so as to make such an ocular gaff.

The house will be too small soon

Keeping in mind, Gus is knowledgeable in the local real estate market, does that mean the kids will be moving locally? If so, does that mean they’ll become a more regular part of the strip? Of course one question is, where will they work? I kinda remember Gus owning a property he planned for A&J to build on. I wonder if that plays into this arc?

This was the obvious solution all along. The kids can build on Gus’s land.

Where are you going to live?

I cannot emphasize enough just how tired I am of this house storyline.

Gene & Mary Lou are having a baby. They need a bigger house. Selling this one to their parents provides the $$ for something a bit bigger.
