in cricket, one of the ways to get the batsman out is to hit the wicket-5 balanced sticks behind him. the size of the bat was only regulated when a man showed up with a bat that was larger than the wicket and just put it in front of the target. this led to a conversation as to what was ok.
On some courses, there were such things as “grass bunkers”. for every shot from those, one had to stand in an uneven lie. No special clubs needed; but your swing had to be right.

And that is so not optimized for lift, speed or distance.

That will throw enough sand to obscure the hole.

“Not much of a regulation sand trap either. Nor the entire course Go with it.”

It looks like he must have borrowed Mary Poppin’s bag. Maybe he can also use his (borrow her) imagination to win the Masters.

If he’s strong enough to lift that thing, it would be far to dangerous to pick a fight with him over it.

So, is it a stone’s throw to the next hole?

It’s OK. That’s not a regulation sand pit.

ah, isn’t he “grounding” the club in the trap – penalty
dpatrickryan Premium Member over 2 years ago
Regardless of the legality of the club, he grounded it in the bunker – that’s a stroke penalty.
