Interesting but useless trivia of the day:

The first word on the sign is pronounced “the”. “The” was originally spelled “þe”. When the movable type printing press was invented, it didn’t have a thorn (þ), so it was replaced by y, which was later replace by th, like we have today, but the pronouciation has remained the same.
