Of course they could have walked AROUND that patch.

And soon after, the first trousers and boots were invented. By “soon” I mean within approx. 1 million years.

After they walk through the swamp, they’ll have leeches to pull off.

I’d prefer a dessert background.

Eh not easy walking in the woods with bear feets.

Could have been worse, could have been velociraptors…..

I think that it’s time to go for a swim. And thus wash all that stuff off.

The vegetation/grass where they picked up those “hitchhikers” was actually in the foreground.

Is he a little "tick"ed off?

Ah yes, chiggers and ticks…what fun!

Sand burrs…..

Bugs I don’t like bugs.

And here I thought the reason was that desert backgrounds were easier to draw.

Sand spurs!!

Chiggers and ticks build character. Nothing good about spiders.

Too bad they can’t find shoes to fit those feet

Scorpions, Gila Monsters and Rattlesnakes are a witch, though…

And they didn’t even know about the diseases that ticks carry.

Now they’ve got a whole host of problems.

I’m sure Hart prefers the desert background – easier to draw.

Don’t that just bug you?

Have been living in the desert for 15 years, seeing nothing but cactus or is it cactii) and rocks. Much prefer trees and lakes.

Smee, do you feel something ticking.

that’s me! I’ve picked off over 12 ticks this year.

Of course, the stickers are in the foreground. :)

All the ticks they picked up in the grass are bailing out. This is a bad thing?

Tics hate Melaleuca. You don’t have to buy the oil if you can find the plant and rub it’s natural oils on your skin. Otherwise, a few drops in a spray bottle with some water, spritz yourself and you’re tic free! It doesn’t smell at all bad. Have fun!

Much less work to draw, too, but shhhh on that.
