Bi-monthly? Mine do it nightly! They look so cute in their running clothes.

The Goddess Who Walks Among Us usually does not rush around at 2 am. She does sometimes demand that one of Her slaves play with Her. Sometimes She decides to sleep on an already occupied bed, and manages to take up most of it, so that the poor humans end up teetering on the edge. And the other night a strange cat came into the garden, so She registered Her disapproval very noisily. But not much rushing around.

I note that Puck isn’t taking part. Probably because it wouldn’t be fair to the others.

My current two don’t have 2am races just early hours purr sessions by Dean that turn into squabbles on the bed when Sammy demands equal attention from me. My previous four though used to tag team through the house and the bedroom was always part of the race circuit :)

Mine started about an hour ago and show no sign of slowing down. Elvis and Lupin have a major task if they want to catch up.

This happened at my house this morning too.

Running is even better in a two story house! It’s amazing how loud a 6 pound cat can be running up and down stairs at 2 am!

Yum Yum pulled an Elvis this morning, puffed to twice her size, started growling and yowling, and proceeded to chase a cat twice her size off the property. She was so kerfuffled that she stayed puffed up for a good half hour and refused treats.

Mine don’t wait until 2 a.m., they’ll gallop through the house at any time of day.

I love this one! It is indeed a classic! When Lord Humphrey and Queen Margot were in their prime they would run at midnight.

I’m loving the little agitrons around Elvis’s tail in the second panel… especially because they appear in the word balloon and in that context resemble quotation marks. Even better than the “air quotes” finger gesture.

Last night was not the running of the cats so much as the occupation of Mommy by two very large males who don’t get along but were not going to give up an inch.

Wonderful comic! I’ve been a reader/fan since the very beginning, before newspapers! And I just had to say I love this strip, characters and storyline so much. I really enjoy seeing them all again remade. I’ve never commented because I try to keep a low social profile but I appreciate the positive comments of all posters and have been following all of your comments as well. Georgia, you have created something wonderful and rare. Just wanted to go public with my accolades!
