OT – I need postive thoughts for my kitten Nushi. She is suddenly ataxic and I found out that 4 of the 6 in her litter have recently passed from FIP. Some of you may remember I got her in November and was concerned about her cloudy eye, which did clear up. Well I just got home from visiting my Mom in Joplin to support her as she was getting over the loss of her beloved Papillon, Bandit. I came back late Monday night and thought Nushi’s gait was a little off and then this Morning (still Tuesday here) she was clearly off balance and I got the news about the rest of the litter when I called in to where I got her.

I am taking her in to the vet tomorrow at 3:30 pm PDT (I live in Seattle) and though there is no definitive test for FIP and no cure, I’m praying that against all odd it’s something else. Nushi will be 10 mo old on 6/10 and she is such a special, smart, funny and sweet little girl. I’m so scared and doing my best to hide it and give her all the love and support she needs. Thank you for anything you can send our way. I see SheMc needs our support too, and I didn’t have good internet access at my folks, so I’m behind and haven’t read the comments, since 5/20, so I’m not sure what is happening with everyone else, but I will resume sending love and support as soon as I can. Right now my screen is so blurry I apologize for any typos.

I love Tommy’s description, I was hearing the toads last night, and they sound pleasant to me, unlike cicada’s which have a more piercing call. And I have hearing aids so my hearing is much improved.

Off-Topic – asking for some good thoughts for Conan today. A week out from his last chemotherapy and he’s not feeling too good. His appetite is much reduced and his digestion is a bit dicey, too. And he has an ear infection that seems to want to stick around too long, too. With luck, we’ll stay on top of things and pull him through this pretty quickly, but right now he just seems to feel yucky.

Boops, headbonks and purrs to all who needs them. As for Beatrix, she just teleports.
