I’m glad Lupin can read whiskers even through an Epic Elvis Poof!

Oh, no! It’s Elvis who’s supposed to leave the building—not Lupin!

I just caught the tiniest little cricket I’ve ever seen in my kitchen, and released it outdoors. Didn’t hear any chirping from it though. The cats didn’t notice it, but they did alert me to a spider in the living room earlier. Hope I’m not being invaded!

Where is Lupin off to? Who writes the teleprompter script, if not Burt? Waiting to get this cleared up.

Whoever or whatever writes the text for the teleprompter is doomed.

    Does Lupin need glasses?

Wait … is Lupin angry at the teleprompter? True TRILL SCREETCH TRILL SCREETCH TRILL SCREETCH is what should be showing up on the screen but maybe that’s just a programming issue.

Good morning, Orbsters! I bring you greetings from under heavy cloud cover (and not much else yet) here in Wake County, NC. Dorian is slated to start impacting our area later today. We’ll see what happens.

I know the real Lupin cannot hear, like the one in the comic. But does the real Lupin meows?

The cicadas are in full chorus each evening. I rather enjoy them. I did not, however, enjoy starting to slip my foot into a slipper and having one leap out.

I changed my phone’s ring tone to a cricket chirp in honor of the season and this BCN arc. Now my cat’s running to answer my phone for me!

OT: a quick thank you to everyone for all the kind thoughts sent to my friend after her car accident. She remains in the hospital, facing several more surgeries to try and save her leg…shattered tibia and fibula. But she will make it through all this soon enough…and I’m sure Orb Power helped tremendously. Thank you again

Why do I have the feeling that the cricket is right by the teleprompter? And Lupin is adorable, with his suspicions finally aroused. And Elvis, of course, is still in full poof mode!

Off topic but we all love animals. This is about a woman who ran an animal shelter in the Bahamas. She ended up taking 97 dogs into her own home during the hurricane! https://www.msn.com/en-us/video/lifestyle/dollar100000-donated-to-bahamas-woman-who-took-in-97-rescue-dogs/vi-AAGOt6K

Lupin, consider the source before completing that fine leap. Would Elvis be likely to make a screeeech out of a few chirps?

Yes Lupin, the teleprompter is lying to you. It should be filled with chrip rather than reading just a couple.

    OT

    Hi Everyone,

I am finally home, back from the hospital and rehab/ retirement home.

Aug 6 to Sept 5…a whole month shot. A “simple procedure”- – - my behind. I have lots of instructions to follow from the doctors.

You won’t be hearing from me for a while, my email inbox is stuffed full, and I need to read a month’s worth of my “faves”.

I thank everyone who has “booped, prayed, sent good thoughts, etc. for me in the last month.

    Thank you,

    Noreen

Jim Cantore was spotted in Wilmington, NC.

Oh, and the rain is coming down quite steadily as the wind picks up at 5:00 PM Eastern.

A few days ago I told how Reboot reacted to the bugle alarm I use on my tablet to wake up in the mornings. Then it was jump, dirty looks, turn in midair, and leave the room at speed. Since then he has been watching me turn off the alarm by tapping the little circle on the screen. This morning, I was awake before the alarm went off and when it did, Reboot stuck out a paw and started tapping the screen. Too bad he wasn’t tapping it in the right place. If he ever figures that out, I bet I start oversleeping.

    He is one smart kitty.
