I know the wall goes between the Big Pink House and the farm, and Tommy has been to the farm to interview Baba, so this must be beyond the farm—no cat’s land for sure!

You need to exercise a “soupçon” of caution in this land of “Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves” (Cher). Starting to become a mashup of BCN and Swan Eaters.

Apropos of not too much, the west side of San Francisco where Golden Gate Park is now was originally a vast area of sand dunes they called the “Outside Lands”, which gives its name to the big music festival that is now held there every fall.

This not good. Bad things soon.

It seems like trouble just popped up.

I like the “mouse view” camera three shot in panel one.

Look at the simultaneous “!” marks from the Robber Mice and Tommy.

Well, at least it is not the smoke, fire and black sand of Mordor. But these scavengers of the hinterland look dangerous and Tommy is a hugger, not a fighter.

This is Tommy’s own mythic hero’s adventure ala Joseph Campbell….all the elements are in place for a truly epic saga….no wonder Lupin is so envious.

I had to go back twice before I caught on that the squirrel and the chipmunk were hiding in the soup and cat food tins. I thought they apparated from nowhere..

On a serious note, if I may: today is election day in Canada. To my fellow citizens who also gather here: GET OUT AND VOTE, ALREADY!! There may not be anything or anyone you want to vote for, but there is probably someone or something you want to vote against.

Are they squirrels or are they rats? I don’t see the poofy tails for squirrels.

Off topic update: he crossed the rainbow bridge this morning, our old man black cat, and he took our hearts with him. His name was Tseng (named after a Final Fantasy character). His little kitten butt walked in our front door, unexpected, sixteen years ago tomorrow. Please kiss all your kitties for me.

My heart goes out to you, losing your Tseng. I lost my long-time companion, Sky, the 28th of February. I still, out of the blue, will get a sudden pang, a longing, for his company, and tear up. I miss him so much! All of us here understand your grief. Much love to you.
