This makes me think of Elvis and Lupin: “My spreadsheets are concise and intuitive!” – “They’re worse than your PowerPoints”, and the Man and the Woman thinking they’re fighting about “typical cat stuff”.
…I may have mentally dubbed this dialogue over my two cats scuffling. Once or twice.
Puts me in mind of my Cindy Lou, who charges at Inky when he dares try to enter “her” room. He has endured numerous face slaps but won’t give up. The other boys know better, but Inky is heartbreakingly determined to make friends with Cindy. Sort of an extreme Tommy and Sophie. But signs are that Cindy is beginning to mellow a bit, so there is hope
“Corrupt officer tries to suffocat the freedom of the press and prevents a journalist from carrying on his reporting duties. We’re reporting live from the scene where this atrocious activity is taking place. Stay with us live. We’ll be right back after this short break.”
Every once in a while I see this with the neighborhood ferals. Kabuki will freeze and stare at the tabby across the way, who in turn will freeze and stare right back. No sound, no movement, and they can hold that position for hours.
The Fourth Estate vs. the Law. Well I know were this argument will end up… In Court. Might make it all the way up to the Supreme Cat Court for the district. I just wonder who the Chief Cat Justice is? Could it be Tabitha or would it be BaBa Mouse?
Ease off there, Goldie, and cut Lupin a bit of slack. The Sheriff badge did not make you the head of the household.
On the home front, Paul is still doing well. His feeding is prepared, and just waiting for him to get up so I can connect the tubing. His brother came to visit yesterday, and is coming back today to fix a plumbing problem in the bathroom. His mother is coming tomorrow, and his other brother is visiting on Saturday. His sons are planning some video conferencing over the weekend. It is so heart-warming to see his family rallying around him!
Romeo update: He did have some grit in his urethra which was cleared out with the catheter. He spent the night in the hospital and they’ll release him today if he urinates a good stream. The vet thinks this will likely solve the problem. Thanks for the good thoughts everyone!
Today is Cosmopolitan Day. Since I’m finally off the heavy drugs, I think I’ll make some, tonight.
Yes, I know there are other meanings beside the cocktail, but I think it’s a suitable way for this cosmopolitan group to celebrate. After all, BCN covers the world …
I really sympathize with Georgia on this one. MrrrCavity continues to be a problem for Waffle, and now 8-ball. MrrrCavity means well, but doesn’t quite remember the social skills for other cats. We are fairly certain he was a kept cat, then when he became an adult he was abandoned or thrown out. This is probably why he became adoptable after being feral for at least a year, possibly more.

Making Goldie a sheriff instead of a just a PI was a bad move. Now the freedom of the press is doomed.
