Sandwiches and cheese puffs? It’s 1:00 AM and now I’m hungry!

Oh dear. Camera One’s backup battery is getting low.

I don’t know what you intrepid reporters are going to do for your camera battery tomorrow morning. Burt’s not going out in that weather (and good for him, too)!

A good fire , pioneer eats and lots of fuzzy blankets, yep, it could be worse. Get ready for a 4 cat night!

If the refrigerator is not running you can put things outside to keep them cold, of course the ice cream is probably already gone.

Cheese puffs, the snack of pioneers everywhere.

The Boy looks like he’s asleep, but the Girl is wide awake handing out cat treats (“Ooh! Shrimp souffle medley!”). I’m wondering if a bit of Alia Atreides is peeking out?

At first thought the Grirl was eating the Shimp Souffle Medley rather than feeding to the cats. Sounds good and I am sure that it is tasty as otherwise the cats would ignore it.

Ah yes, the pioneers and their cheese puffs. LOL.

This strip is, again, really educational. I am not very familiar with American “history*”, so I never realised that those wagon trains were carrying cheese puffs to the California goldfields. I learned something new.

(*America dropped out of real history in 1776.)

Fire is still on? But.. But… What about global warming? And pollution? Woe is we.

We got cat treats, fire, food, water. Everything is prepared! Get ready to leave Earth in the next 100 years!

Looks like Goldie is getting a taste of the good life: shrimp soufflé cat treats, probably another tasty treat she never got from her previous owners!

I am sure that deep in basement of the Big Pink House there is a dust covered backup generator. If only the man with his torch can brave the cobweb covered depths and stir it into life all the kitties will be safe.

Pucky toe beans! I don’t care if the power is out, everything’s good now.

Thank Cat they got the cloon makeup off the girl before the power went out. . .

We had a snowstorm once that, while the power didn’t go out, it made every room in the house freezing so that the heater may as well not be working. My poor kitty Gracie, rather than sleep on top of me in my bed as she normally does, buried herself under the mounds of blankets I piled on top of myself and slept right next to my body.

I love the Opportunity reference.

I got my 2nd inoculation yesterday.

I didn’t get any skin discoloration, but i have plenty of site discomfort to make up for it.

The worst for me was/is a killer headache and chills. I had a hard time sleeping because i’d wake up sweating and freezing.

I also have a bit of fatigue.

Shrimp soufflé medley? Those are some fancy cat treats! Lucky Pucky!

I hope the Woman doesn’t pull out a can of the orange Quinoa with an insect looking thing that Elvis wouldn’t eat after chasing it and letting it go a few times.

Gotta admit, as much as I like my electronics and technology, sometimes I miss the simple things like a crackling fire. I don’t miss cutting the wood to make said fire though.

Puck is a cat after my own heart. I love shrimp too!

Elvis and Lupin better hurry or they’ll miss out on the shrimp soufflé medley treats. Goldie looks as if she’s decided she likes these – a lot.
