That look on Elvis’ face, and twitching tail, look very familiar to me. Just like my Gracie when she hops on me and tells me it’s time to go to sleep. Remarkably, it’s the same attitude she gives me when it’s time to get up.

There are times when I can’t sleep because my mind is churning after I go to bed.

It is well past midnight here on the US east coast. Perfect time to checkout my favorite comic.

The Lizzie Borden murders? This was one of the earliest US cases where being rich and having a high-powered lawyer with political ambitions worked in someone’s favor. Everyone knew she did it, but her lawyer got her off and the police never pursued anyone else. Rich people were above the law then, just as they are now.

Since this is a family friendly comic, I thought the -Lizzie Borden rhyme, needed a do over! Lizzie Borden took an…er…tree chopping instrument, and caused quite the incident! She may have…um…used it, on her parents, but I’m sure it was for chopping carrots! And when she saw what she had done…um…she ordered take out, for everyone! Ok, I give up! There is no way to make that rhyme, family friendly!

I liked the explanation in the movie starring Elizabeth Montgomery of how Lizzie did it the best. She didn’t get any blood on her clothes because she removed them all before murdering her parents and then simply rinsed the evidence off, pouring it down the basement loo.
