That look on Elvis’ face, and twitching tail, look very familiar to me. Just like my Gracie when she hops on me and tells me it’s time to go to sleep. Remarkably, it’s the same attitude she gives me when it’s time to get up.
The Lizzie Borden murders? This was one of the earliest US cases where being rich and having a high-powered lawyer with political ambitions worked in someone’s favor. Everyone knew she did it, but her lawyer got her off and the police never pursued anyone else. Rich people were above the law then, just as they are now.
Continue ping “what the heck do these comment terms mean” with yours truly, Po! I’ve seen people say OT: then something. What the heck does that mean?!? Fun fact: the nickname for one of my cats,Ollie, is Potato, which is why my name is PotatoLover02.
Since this is a family friendly comic, I thought the -Lizzie Borden rhyme, needed a do over! Lizzie Borden took an…er…tree chopping instrument, and caused quite the incident! She may have…um…used it, on her parents, but I’m sure it was for chopping carrots! And when she saw what she had done…um…she ordered take out, for everyone! Ok, I give up! There is no way to make that rhyme, family friendly!
I liked the explanation in the movie starring Elizabeth Montgomery of how Lizzie did it the best. She didn’t get any blood on her clothes because she removed them all before murdering her parents and then simply rinsed the evidence off, pouring it down the basement loo.
Beatrixia: Thanks for setting out the display of ancient legend scrolls, Obie. Just in time for Phil-Adelph and Groundhog Day.
Obadiah Opossum: No oProblem! It was my oPleasure!
Bea: I’m considering doing a display of Ancient Mysteries scrolls. For example, what became of the famous explorer and Polo Player, Marco.
Obie: And I understand the moles have a legend of the mysterious rain of colorful gumballs that has been lost in futurity. (October 27, 2023)
Bea: Now we have time to go and celebrate Groundhog Day. I understand Phil saw his shadow. So you know what that means.
Obie: The main buffet will feature Chocolate Everything.
Bea: And the Ancient and Accepted Procurers’ Guild is bringing in cheese From Where We Know Not and brand new Xanadu Honey. And maybe a visit from an old friend.
Enter Old Friend
Friend: And here I am!
Bea: Beaver Lee Cleary! It’s so good to see you.
Bev: And maybe we can talk about some old legends while I’m here.
I wonder how the Woman would get along with Dale Gribble. This reminds me distinctly of the time he stayed up with Khan and solved the Kennedy and Lincoln assassinations, and got halfway through McKinley to boot.

Woman, did you not jump rope to:
“Lizzie Borden took an ax
And gave her mother forty whacks,
And when she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one."
