Once their eggs are laid the myriad dead cicadas will have been the result of the great cicada civil war of 2024! Hmm! That metaphor is getting too close for comfort.
I walked outside and took the sound level of the outdoors with all the cicada noise: 60 Db. In contrast as i sit here at my computer in the kitchen, it is running about 25 db. And I can still hear the cacophony going outside, as well as the gentle hum of the computer power supply fan.
Let’s see, in 2020, did God sent a viral plague disease because T-rump was in power? This year will God send a plague of cicadas, or maybe locuts? I hope people listen and vote blue.

All cicadas are awake. They aren’t sleeping when they’re underground.

I swear, every summer I would spend in Connecticut had the unwelcome buzz of cicadas in the evenings, every year.

There is very little overlap of their ranges and very little chance of breeding together.
