My GF’s mother’s computer, around 1999 I jimmied her Windows98 (and willingly confessed soon after the deed was done)….at the shutdown of W98, you perform a software shutdown, ending with it is now safe to turn off your computer. Altered graphic replacing the standard, reading It is not safe to turn off your computer. Older folks, especially ladies, are both overly cautious and not tech savvy.
Why thems no fire this guy already? Ohwaitsaminute me knows why. If thems is fire him then he will sueing em for allowing Pammy to gets away with workplace abuse of physical violence against him.
Brewster should call on the station engineer to fix it, since that’s his job. Finally, a job Cliff is capable of doing. (Eating Doughnut people and harassing Pam don’t count as work.)
I remember one radio station in our market that hired a new engineer. All he did is sit around and drink coffee and never fixed anything. They left the position open and six months later he got replaced with someone who had been laid off elsewhere and was desperate to get a job and keep it as his unemployment had run out.
When I was working, my schedule didn’t allow for 30min. interruptions for meetings, so my boss would give the 5min. summary later. Suited me just fine.
Reminds me of a video that went around during the pandemic. Four or five people on a Zoom meeting, and one set up a picture of himself in front of his computer, to make it look like he was sitting up and paying attention to what was going on. But when the picture fell off his chair, it was clear that he was nowhere near his computer.

Hate to say it, but Cliff has my vote on this. I hate meetings.

But Cliff should be careful. Brewster may resort to the old-fashioned method … face to face.

Love it! Never thought of it before, but after the 2nd panel I guessed where it was going. Still good, though.

If you keep getting an error message from some people, don’t assume that it’s an error on your end or an error you caused.

Cliff is getting a bit more clever recently…first the border dividers and then the cardboard computer screen gimmick!
cuzinron47 about 11 hours ago
Brewster should know that Cliff requires the direct approach. What am I thinking, I’m talking about Brewster the clueless.

I sometimes wish I knew ventriloquism. I could say, “The screen is frozen? You’re coming through just fine.”
