If only this comic was called Calvin and Susie, and Hobbes didn’t exist..

Sorry Susie but your character is so boring.

Hobbes like the magic dragon will soon be replaced by a lot of little suzies.

What fun.It’s a blast!….compared to a root canal.

I didn’t know that 4 letter words were permitted in the comics.

I’ve said it before. There’s a certain amount of pathos with Calvin. He’s extremely anti-social, and gets along with no one.

Come on Susie, there are many fish in the ocean. I wouldn’t insist on befriending one particular guy so much when there so many more out there… unless… nah, not Susie.

C’mon, people, it’s common knowledge that girls of that age have cooties!!!

I have some friends who have been married 50+ years and have been friends since pre-school age. Recently, she wrote down their adventures as children (for the grandkids), especially how grandpa always got grandma in tdouble. I often think of them as Calvin and Susie without Hobbes.

I’ve always wondered why Susie bothers with Calvin….aren’t there other children in the neighborhood? All we ever see are Calvin and Susie and….Mo.

Well, Calvin is an “only,” one who seems to express many of the traditional symptoms. It also seems that Suzie might be one too. Usually, two onlies are a very bad mix.

IF this was real life they would probably end up married

Time will come, Suzie will be his girlfriend and then wife

If only we could have seen Susie grow up into (insert your dream girl here) and then see how Calvin feels about her.

Get an “invisible” friend too, Susie.

Poor Susie…she’s so great…it will just take Calvin a little longer to realize that.

Talking about ear worms, I’ve had “No More Kings” from the 1970’s “Schoolhouse Rock” series stuck in my head for weeks. I go to bed at night with it playing in my head, and I wake up in the morning with it still playing. If you grew up in the 70’s you may not remember, but listen to it just one time on YouTube and you’ll see what I mean. “Rockin’ and a rollin’, splishin’ and a splashin, over the horizon what could it be…”

Wow! I didn’t mean that to be political!

Your only problem(?), Susie, is that you are girl and MOST boys the age of Calvin USED to think that girls were ‘the scum of the earth’ but give it 5 or 6 years and you will have start carrying a baseball bat with you backed up by you Dad !

I like Susie.. BUT I LOVE THE BABYSITTER FIGHTING WITH CALVIN…

Calvin is a bully. plus bossy, and excessively assercertive.

Don’t worry Suzie, you just got there first. In a few more years Calvin will change. All boys do!
