hahaha, Calvin’s sheer terror and horror is amazing to behold. Only in comics can you leap that high and scream THAT loud as a reaction with that perfect “timing”.

Susie will soon get very bored with “Nice Calvin.” I’ve had women explain to me that bad boys, messed up guys, are much more unpredictably entertaining and that wrangling them is an interesting challenge…

Love Hobbes’s face in the first panel! I also picture Calvin moving in a jerky rhythmic manner in that panel, like his head briskly turning and his fist moving up and down to each few syllables of his speech.

Calvin’s “evil” side has pushed the “good” side down for so long, not even he realized that he loved Susie!

This might have to do with the fact that most of my relatives are girls, but I never really went through this “girls are icky” phase when I was in grade school

Just the other day I saw an announcement that Calvin and Susie’s granddaughter is getting married.

Puberty wrecks every childhood. Eventually.
