They did go to the prom together.

Susie would probably beat you some more, Calvin.

then imagine Calvin and Susie as the prom king and queen

ah, the ignorance of a six year old about females.

Calvin has long-term programs.

Good thing he got that out of the way.

You see, Calvin? You try to be considerate, and they still find a way to take offence.

I wonder who beats up Calvin more: Moe or Susie??

Oh, that’s right—it’s Hobbes!!

Zoom forward 11 years, and Susie is a fashion model, and Calvin… well, he’s still in panel 3.

By design, I never had that problem.

How a 6 year old boy thinks about a 6 year old girl, is way different to what he might think of her when both are 16 yea.

Though there is a pretty fair chance the future 16 old girl won’t have changed her opinion of Calvin.

By his position, it looks like Susie might know judo.

And the flirting just goes on…….

In the WHAT IF? universe where this still runs Calvin grew up and did. Happens to all of us.

Moving on to plan B ……

Calvin will be singing a completely different tune when he’s a teenager

Oh Calvin, wait until the hormones kick in.

Except for snowballs and water balloons, Calvin has never been physically violent with Susie. On occasion, like this one, he has been verbally insulting. On some of these occasions, like this one, Susie has decked him.

I don’t think the strip would have been acceptable if the scenario had been reversed.

I guess this shows the double standard that is still applied.

I never got to enjoy the experience of senior prom.

Knocked him heels over head and out of his shoes. She will never need tai-kwan-do because she tai-kwan-did.

Considering that Calvin never ages, how is he going to go to the prom any way?

What a woman!

If he hates her so much, why does he seem so eager to believe she’s crazy about him…?

They’ve only been in first grade together for 8 years at this point. (Tough school system!)

First graders do not have lockers.

Figure enough time so she’ll find Hobbes?

It’s not like Calvin to plan a day ahead much less 11 years.

Susie had better watch she doesn’t get in trouble for pummeling Calvin in school!

When the time comes she’ll show up with the biggest stud in the class and Calvin, by then more interested in girls, will be seething with jealousy. Furthermore, Moe, now a civilized young man, will be the “stud”.

LOL… Susie is the only one that stands up to Calvin. Good job, girl.

Calvin has been mean to Susie from day one.

Calvin’s anticipations are coming a little too soon.

Lucy once asked Schroeder to the prom during a baseball game. He declined, and Lucy sad she’d cancel the limo. Talk about being presumptuous.
