Then why were global life expectancies so low before the advent of modern medicine? There is no evidence that acupuncture is anything other than a placebo effect. There is no way it can help treat viral and bacterial infections.

Acupuncture, like homeopathy, is pure bubkus. It has no scientific basis and has at best a placebo effect. If Eastern Medicine is so effective and rife with wisdom hidden from science based medicine, then explain the sharp rise in life expectancy across the globe starting in the 20th Century with the advent of science based medicine. I will rely on vaccines, blood transfusions and penicillin any day of the week.

Tried acupuncture for a few things. Never felt any difference or improvement
