knnew it!!! knew it!! valentine’s day, 2013. I am pretty sure its a ring. Only doubt because Greg has been known to misdirect his comic’s fans from time to time. I hope not this time. It also makes sense that Toni would glady accept a proposal this time. They are much closer, which has should have been clear to anyone closely following this two week, maybe three weeka arc, Shannon is closer and closer to Brad (as someone pointed out she called Brad, Brad, not Bwad) and Toni is far more emotionally ready to accept a proposal, I think the biggest question is will Toni pick Luann to be her maid-of-honor and we know who the best man will be. Oh the drama!! It makes up for all the sad news in the rest of the rag or internet we all read everyday.

Seems strange that he would wrap the ring like that, especially since she’s already seen it… unless he took it back, previously… Anyway, I think it will likely BE a ring… on the other hand, it could be a small chain or a bracelet; either way, I think there will be a proposal…leastwise, I hope so; after all, there’s only 7 years left in this decade, and we all know how slowly things happen in Luanndia

if he tells her, she will ruin the surprise. If he is smart, he will tell her its earrings or something like that (better if he could come up with something even better) but if he was even smarter, he would have kept that little package hidden -even his room-mate isn’t above spoiling a surprise.

It’s been fun watching almost everyone, the last couple of weeks, slowly coming to my point of view that Shannon isn’t really a little monster, but, that she was lonely and felt abandoned by her family; and that with a little caring from Brad & Toni, her inner goodness is showing through :)

I still think Shannon is involved somehow. The package contains a gaudy plastic arcade ring that Shannon picked out because she thought it was beautiful. After Toni opens it, then Brad presents her with the REAL ring. This move will endear Brad to Toni because he’s making the attempt to include Shannon in their family. Will I be right or will I be right?

Don’t think it’s a ring! I always thought Greg would follow the following storyline (about a year or two from now):

Toni’s brother drops off Shannon for babysitting, but then skips town.Toni announces she’ll have to quit her job to raise Shannon.Brad proposes to Toni, to include Shannon for both of them to raise.

Greg???

It’s a heart-shaped ruby pendant necklace. Brad should know better than to spook Toni. Better to ease into a proposal by small jewelry purchases first, to see how she reacts. (However, I hope it IS a ring.)

Brdshtt, you are so right— last time he promised not to try to push her into marriage. So instead of an engagement ring, this might be…*1) a promise ring— “that I will, any time you are ready”2) a cracker jax ring for Shannon— he’ll ask Toni’s approval if he can give it to Shannon as his intended niece.

As much as I want it to be an engagement ring, the fact that it is all wrapped up with a nice bow suggests otherwise.

…or Greg is being deliberately ambiguous.

Everybody – Brad would not DARE propose. Toni almost bit his head off when he broached the subject a few times in the past. She made it very clear she was not interested in that. Yes, she did tell his boss at the firehouse, but she wants to keep that a secret that she MIGHT consider Brad for her future husband…however, it may be just an attempt to sell to his boss to hire Brad back. Brad doesn’t know what she said to his boss so as far as he knows, she is dead set against the very idea. Luann is just being the romantic teenage girl jumping to conclusions upon seeing a small ring-sized box. I bet it is just a heart pendant.

Oh I give up.

Doing the hard way:(1) Luann blabs to everyone that Brad is popping the question.(2) The gift turns out to be something innocuous like a pair of earrings or a friendship ring.

(3) Luann ends up with egg on her face, and Brad is mad at her.

The plot thickens….
