So, two of the three plots dovetail oh so convieniently . . .

She’s got her eye on them…I hope that she does nothing drastic…

Morrow, my birthday is very close to yours, that’s how I remember.

Mysta’s spying out the “other woman?” Zoink! I like how we’ve been left to figure this out rather than being told.

“I believe Mysta is planning something.” Yes and from the looks of things I don’t think Sparkle will be pleasantly surprised by whatever the “something” is.

Good morning Vista Bill, wherever you are. It’s strange to Stellaluna, but not to Mysta. Yeah, she’s only watching, for now… Was also just thinking, those must be pretty nice gloves to be able to work the controls of the equipment they’re using. I’ve never found any that kept my hands very warm and were thin enough to manipulate in small spaces. Oh well, winter’s finally over now, hooray for that!

So Mysta does know about Sparkle. The plot thickens!

The puzzle pieces are beginning to fall into place.

Apparently Stellaluna has a day job besides taking care of Mysta—or is using that viewer for entertainment.

Moon Maid knows who Sparkle is of course, she met her when Sparkle was just a child…not sure if she’s maid the connection between Junior and Sparkle being married or not OR where she heard the radio program from to begin with… didnt Montana joe say it was the first time they had the Sounds O’Plenty on the radio show? Unless moon Maid was diverted from her original plan and heard the program on the radio and went there instead, maybe looking to see if she could “begin to reconnect with her past” somehow by visiting the Plentys? How much trouble you think Retik is gonna be in when Ghote and Sail find out he took Moon Maid out without their knowledge?

Congratulations to Robert Mills, whose early post yesterday appears to be one of the first, if not only, correct prognostication! Whether it was tongue-in-cheek or an out-and-out guess, he got it right!

For that, he wins an invisible facsimile!

Trivia question: What is an invisible facsimile? (Those who lived in Chicago in the late sixties and early seventies may have heard it on the radio…)

All these events seem to be parenthetical, but I guess as VB said the puzzle pieces are coming together. Kind of slow to me because I would have JR and Mysta maken babies by now and the Plenty family winning the lottery and leaving the country for Tahiti or Jamaica. Then some rich Prince coming along, he, and Sparkle running off with together. Come to think of it, that would not make a very good story so I will remain patient and leave the story line up to Joe & Mike.

I guess that I should of read that before posting it. Oh well.

I was extremely concerned when I saw today’s Dick Tracy. At first, I misinterpreted the panels – I thought Mysta was heading out to see the Plentys perform at Montana Joe’s. Rather, they had just returned from the trip.

That she would watch a performance of Sparkle Plenty and family means she remembers who they are – but wait! Sparkle’s daughter had not yet been born when Mysta is supposed to have died.

As Sullie (tsull2121) will be quick to tell us, Sparkle and Junior would have waited at least as long as it would have taken for Mysta to have been declared “legally” (if not physically) dead.

At least one thing: In this first ad hoc meeting of the two women, the one remained in cognito. Furthermore, if there was a time to do something “rash,” that would have been the time to do it.

Or is that just me remembering James Holmes and the fracas just down the street from us about a year ago…

Well, this is an interesting development.

Now we know that Mysta knows about Sparkle. We learned months ago that Mysta knows she is considered dead and buried. Assuming this is the “real” Mysta (and I continue to believe it is, as I don’t feel a story of a “fake” would be drawn out this long), who is briefing her on events which have transpired during her long convalescence? How accurate and complete is her understanding of the past several years? Dr. Sail is in charge of Mysta’s recovery, so what motive does he have, if any, beyond her regaining full health? Sail strikes me as a shady character, yet I have no theory yet as to his motivation. Given that his colleague, Zy Ghote, is a known fraud, it seems wise to be suspicious of his veracity.

Moon Maid and Sparkle are good friends, or at least they used to be. In 1968 alone, Sparkle won a Moon Maid lookalike contest, vacationed on the moon with her family and Moon Maid, flew around in air cars with Moon Maid, and even dressed like Moon Maid. UGH!!! Is anyone else getting popup ads on Gocomics today? Is nothing sacred???

I’m not getting any, avenger09. My browser settings must be blocking them.

avenger09, Willy007: Gocomics has plagued me with popup ads ever since I “rediscovered” Dick Tracy a couple months ago. Willy, what are your settings that seem to be able to block them?

I use Firefox browser with AdBlock Plus add-on. (Got it from Firefox add-on page). Never get a pop up.

It also strips out all the ads down the side of the page on GoComics.

Firefox with AdBlock Plus add-on. I presume the add-on is a “premium” (pay for) service?

For what it’s worth, using Safari on iPod and iPhone, no ads show at all (comments, either). Perhaps that’s why GoComics came up with an iTunes app – they want to get those ads to Apple users, too!

FWIW, I use Chrome for my browser and run two free extensions, Ad Block and Ad Block Plus. Like Ray Toler, I get no pop ups and see no ads on this page or on any other. The same two extensions work on Firefox, too.

……seems to be a lot of sub plots to tie together here……..oh well, my job is to not worry about it, to just read and enjoy, ha ha…..
