Junior’s pretty quick on the uptake.

I wonder when they’ll learn what part Moon Maid played in all of this? And how will she relate to moon headed Melies?

I’d love to hear that introduction. “Gertie, your name is Sparkle, and you’re my step-mom.” That’s going to be almost as big a shock as the one Moon Maid gave her.

I’m a little surprised…..wouldn’t Honeymoon have addressed her as Mom? Does she normally address her as ‘Sparkle’?

I agree, usually, Honey calls Sparkle “Mom”, on the other hand, she may be so confused by MM2 that she’s no longer sure WHO to call Mom.

Maybe we will now find out why Pop Wheaton didn’t call the police, when a mysterious woman showed up on his farm?

Junior has reacted quickly, and I think we can count on Honeymoon to do a diplomatic introduction to “Miss Gertie.”Having Dick Tracy on the scene would be a plus, but the issue is bringing back Sparkle, somehow….

Amazing lack of emotion in Junior’s response to Sparkle, now aka Gertie. Perhaps Sparkle does have need for concern now that Mysta has returned….Honeymoon calling her Sparkle: My father has always wanted to be addressed by his first name, a tradition he says he got from his father, my grandfather..So, I suppose it isn’t as far-fetched as it seemed at first…

I still don’t see the point in Mike and Joe bringing back Moon Maid, let alone giving her the name, Mysta, unless she is the “real deal.”.It would seem that all other ultra-sci-fi alternatives would be rather pointless. The Moon Maid (if she’s not really Mysta) would have no real connection to the other characters of Tracyville, no matter what she thinks (memory implants and similar speculations). She would have to be written out of the strip, and pretty quickly, at that..Though I know there are those who would love to see that..I’m not one of them.

The granary has become a strange nexus for Tracy family members. First Dick was drawn there, then Mysta and Sparkle, now Junior, Honeymoon, and Sparkle. I expect Sparkle will recover her memory very quickly, then remember how she lost it. Then the fun will begin again with Mysta.

Hasn’t the Tracy clan been awfully calm about the disappearance of Sparkle? Their routine seems not to have changed at all since she’s been gone. Then they bump into her accidentally?

Far thinner plotting than normal. Not fond of the convenient steaming heap o’ coincidences here. Hope after all the loops and twists of the story line so far they aren’t going to go rushed and skimpy for the ending.

Gertie’s next line should be, “You know, Little Girl, you look a lot like my good friend Mindy…”

Just to add to yesterday’s discussion, I noticed yesterday that TMS Features’ page about Jim Brozman contains the most recent 7 days of the strip as samples of his work. Somebody needs to fix that.

It’s just that he seems a little bit too cool, given the circumstances..Still, regarding Mysta’s real identity: I still don’t see why Mike and Joe brought her back unless it was for her to be the “real deal.”.Anything else would be just as rejected by the characters in the strip, and I expect probably as strongly as you reject her in the first place!.Not knocking you or your position; rather, I use it as an example of the strength of opinion and belief that I believe would be characteristic of residents of Tracyville should Mysta prove to be a clone or any other kind of fake.

OK, what is he supposed to have done this time? C’mon, you all know who’s disappeared…

I’m strongly suspecting these days that Mysta is both 100% real and 100% unreal. Not a clone or a replicant, but somehow the real Mysta, yet not the real Mysta (not the person who blew up in the car). I’m not sure how all of that works or even what I mean exactly, but that’s the direction the evidence is pointing to as far as I can see. So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. For now. :)

Don’t be so quick to jump to conclusions. Most of what we do is speculate. Somewhere down the line Team Tracy will lay it all out. In the mean time treat her as the real thing.^^I believe she’s a fake, or clone and I will treat her that way… you can treat her the way you like, it’s all good
