Pearls Before Swine by Stephan Pastis for September 18, 2013
Transcript:
Penguin 1: Look, dear... a Greenpeace ship. They're the guys who save whales. Swim out there and see if they save penguins, too. Penguin 2: Honey, I don't think that's an actual Greenpeace ship. Penguin 1: How do you know? Penguin 2: I'm a genius that way.

And when the Polar Bear submerges: “I didn’t know Greenpeace had submarines!”
corzak about 11 years ago
This is an excellent demonstration of the polar bear’s clever skill in ambush hunting.
blunebottle about 11 years ago
…..so, why is the polar bear staying in the water? He’s fast on land, penguins are slow.
punmeister about 11 years ago
Obviously not Greenpeace – their ships are much flimsier.

" @Nabuquduriuzhur
What no complaint about cartoon physics and how in real life the ice wouldn’t be perfectly flat and (appears) perfectly round too? It’s a cartoon, anyone who thinks it’s a reflection of reality really needs some help."
yeah, I’m getting a little tired of this too. thanks for saying better than I.
knight1192a about 11 years ago
Must be the smarter cousin of the crocs of the Zeeba Zeeba Eata fraternity. His spelling o Greenpeace ain’t great but both his speech and spelling are a thousand times better than theirs.

Stephan always says he’s not a good artist. I bet he loves the penguins because they are nice and easy to draw.
tjimlee about 11 years ago

I was expecting Greenpeas
ShadowBeast Premium Member about 11 years ago
Either the female penguin is dumb or she is trying to get rid of the male penguin.
codedaddy about 11 years ago
I don’t expect cartoon drawing to mimic reality, but my poor brain can’t seem to get around the bear that looks like a dog (with the elongated snout) and it throws me off for a second. I used to have a question about goat, who is drawn with a pig’s snout, but have gotten used to it after 8 years.

Whereever he got the funds to buy that fake ship is where he should draw from to buy food. What was the name of the Road Runner’s preditor???

hitman4cookies about 11 years ago
Maybe if the polar bear had spelled it “Greenpeace” instead of “Greenpiece”…..
