This interlude was GREAT! Happy Birthday, Mr. Locher!

Good morning fellow DT fans!

As much fun as I had with Mr. Locher’s renditions of Dick Tracy, I did receive a lot of enjoyment from his strips.

I guess one could say,“The yolk on us!”.Congrats Mr. Locher!

Locher kept the strip alive through its darkest hours.Thanks, Dick!

Happy birthday Dick Locher and many, many more! Ignore the hollow noise from those who love to criticize you. The people that matter, such Mike and Joe respect and honor you.

I like the way the transition from the Angus to Annie arc takes us out to Sunny Dell Acres to witness B.O. clucking about a chicken contest. Hat’s off to Team Tracy for being such a class act. Happy birthday to Dick Locher. .I think this fellow knows what to do with prize winning Pullets. Let’s get started on dinner. You pluck the chicken; I’ll mash the taters.

That’s a “pullet surprise” all right.

Happy birthday, Dick Locher! B.O. is getting behind in his news, since Dick Locher won that Pulitzer Prize in 1983 (for editorial cartooning). Locher was the artist when I started reading the strip, so I form my opinions based largely on him. It got a bit much for him to keep up with at the end and I don’t think Brozman quite succeeded in capturing what made Locher’s style of Tracy good.

I really like Tracy’s expression in the last panel.

Clever! I think we’ve all enjoyed the “pullet surprise” (as Robtech_Master noted). Happy birthday to Dick Locher!Who knew that Mr. Locher was a next-door neighbor to Sunny Dell Acres?

Oh that B.O.! And I guess Montana Joe isn’t going to be prosecuted for shooting Tabby Angus either huh? I wonder if Venus and Melies are upset over it? They had a deal pending with him. And what about that crooked investigator, Jeff Clark? Does he get any time or is he off the hook too with the death of Angus?

Annie has appeared three days straight in Gasoline Alley, while we’ve been looking for her in Dick Tracy. I believe that something is up with this that’s going to be a big surprise!

I always thought pullet surprises were when pullets start laying eggs, they come out in unexpected shapes and sizes.

Interesting how certain posters have gone out of their way to wish a happy birthday Dick Locher TODAY after spending the past few years ripping him to shreds. Guess once they saw today’s strip they figured they might as well jump on the bandwagon. I have much more respect to those who haven’t typed phony well wishes and have stayed true to their conviction.

Happy Birthday to Mr. Locher! I didn’t see this coming, but I’m pleased with how it ended.

Little-known tidbit: Among other things, Dick Locher is famous for his poultry recipe called Pullet Surprise.

BO looks totally weird, for starters, his pith helmet is too large and his eyes too far apart, looks more Locherish than Gouldian

Dick Locher is 85 today, by the way.
