Good morning to all. Vitamin might need a heart doctor if he keeps this up. Vitamin and Kandikane both have a message? This may not bode well for our love birds. Have a spectacular day my friends.
I saw John Barrymore’s last movie the other day, and it was a damn sad affair. He played himself as a ghastly caricature, and he was just a foil for Kay Kyser (who I normally don’t boo in movies). Playing Vitamin Fintheart would have been a big step up.
Ah, but in one scene, he was sprawled in a chair, tired and deflated, and then for some reason he delivered the first dozen or so lines of Hamlet’s “To Be…”, and I felt myself waking up. He still had it, and it’s a shame nobody cared.
Reminds me that my grandfather saw him on stage as Hamlet, probably before 1925, because after Dad was born, there wasn’t time or money for such things.
I’m not sure I can interpret the look on KandiKane’s face in the last panel as “delight” or “happy fatigue.” If it’s what we’ve been inferring, she should be all smiles.
@avenger09HOW did Ms. High Fructuous Corn Syrup know that her Flintstone Chewable was reordering Vitamins?
Aside from overhearing his order, she might have seen him writing the list he had in his hand. She came in right after him, so she must have been with him just before he came in.
Teehee! The comments here and on another comics site carrying DT leave little to the imagination about the reasons for Vitamin’s cheeriness and Kandikane’s weariness. Way to go, my good man!

Are…are they implying what I think they’re implying?!?

I wonder what Tracy is phoning about. Something else must be happening “off-screen.” I don’t think it has anything to do with that comic book auction.

ROTFLMAO…..doesn’t need any vitamins indeed!!
AnyFace over 9 years ago
The message for Kandikane is probably connected to the Nitrates.
Could Tracy’s call have anything to do with the Agate Aggie portion of the scam?
Another day, another double entendre.
Should we make a drinking game of it?

I wonder, perhaps Vitamin told Kandikane about his run-in with the Nitrates. Perhaps she recognised that she too was being drawn in to their scam.
AnyFace over 9 years ago
For some reason I always imagine Vitamin’s lines being read in the voice of actor Hans Conried.
Note the comments about space travel, particularly relevant to Dick Tracy circa 1963 …

Apparently old Vitamin doesn’t have E.D.! You go you old player you!

Morning, Tracyville!
I don’t think Kandikane realizes the importance of those vitamins. Without them he just might not be … well, you know.

Good morning all. seems our own VB is running late this morning as well. Anyone care to infer the same reasoning they applied to Vitamin?

Hell, he hasn’t been taking any almost all times we’ve seen him, as opposed to the old days.

Kandikane reminds me of Ponytail…..wonder if they’ll meet? Guess if Kanikane doesn’t work out, she could be Viagramin Flintheart’s next target, lol

I wonder if Kandikane and Vitamin got amorous at the Playhouse or somewhere else?
Starman1948 over 9 years ago
@AnyFace and Chris Sherlock: Hans Conreid also starred in the 1957 movie ‘The Monster That Challenged the World’. He played a scientist.

In today’s lingo, Vitamin “scored”. Looking at his build and stature, I’d say he shares genes with one of our regulars, WHH.
