Again, where is Mimi? Boo obviously has a reputation for being mean and even crazy on the mound, so much so her teammates can predict what will happen. Mimi shouldn’t let her pitch at all if she’s going to act like that.
What I wonder is which one R & W will drop first. Either the baseball team or the softball team one will just drop out of the storyline in a few days if they keep up the pattern they’ve had for the last few years. Not to criticize the writing or anything like that though.
In all reality , just last week there was a story in the Daily Southtown Sports Section about a local high school pitcher who was nicknamed Boo . The story explained he got that name because he is scary fast . Milfords Boo is that and more .
Milford teams have a tradition of playing out of state. Last week, the baseball team traveled to Louisville to play Ballard. A.D. Thorp must have a deep pockets athletic benefactor (Wildcat Maris?) or that farce of a wresting match against Herk was more profitable than the pizza business.
May 4 and the girls are just playing their home opener? I am really starting to get concerned that we might get short-changed on the summer storyline at the MCC. For some of us old-timers, about two shots a year of Mimi at poolside is about all we have to look forward to anymore.
She’s called “Boo” after Boo Radley, the recluse in “To Kill a Mockingbird.” He was either mentally retarded or an agoraphobe. Boo in this strip is also considered pretty weird.
Further research may show that Boo is related to the old tattoo parlor, where she is attempting to tattoo a few Henninger student. This opens the door for Henninger to tap the bruises on their hips as a show of solidarity. We’ll see Henninger in the playdowns, for sure.
More Gt realism. Has anyone ever seen a softball pitcher bend their elbow on the follow though (threw)? P-2 she throws a softball, P-3 the batter is hit with a hardball? Hey, Tru you’re on another diamond, focus!
Tru(E)th be told, the positioning of her elbow isn’t off base for fast-pitch. It’s sort of like bowling, but in softball, the pitcher may “snap their wrist”. I wouldn’t have expected the clenched fist, but….
Got a lyrical back ground for today. If you know who did this one without looking it up you are good! It fits today’s date:.America was stunned on May 4th 1970When rally turned to riot up at Kent State UniversityThey say the students scared the guard though the troops were battle dressed… four students earned a new degree the bachelor of bullets………" .(not trying to be ‘political’ with this so I hope no one takes it that way. I just realized what day it was and thought of the song)

Boo’s ever-changing mop of hair looks like a coonskin cap today. I wonder what’s got her riled up? Maybe Daddy took the Jeep away.

Sure hope the girl Boo just hit doesn’t go after Boo and knock out a couple of those giant Mr. Ed’s with that bat.

If you’ve got to be hit by a pitch, THUD is better than BONK, I suppose.

Maybe someone from Henninger asked her why she is called “Boo.”

Why is she called “Boo?” I’m too afraid to ask. ;)More deformed wrists on Milford pitchers. Must be something in the water.

Boo Radley killed a guy!

Arthur “Boo” Radley was his name. I think he was an agoraphobe, like you said. He saved the day, in the end. I’m sure our Boo Radley will do the same.

Maybe one of the Henninger girls said something about Wendy Wiley’s dance video, and Boo is sticking up for her.

In P2, why is Boo throwing at her teammates in P1? Did someone tell her she combed her hair with an eggbeater?
