Ox, now where would Tiffany get dirty old work clothes?

For shame, Greg, for tagging the wall. And here are all these folks trying to clean this warehouse up!

Yet another storyline involving Tiffany wearing clothing which is obviously inappropriate for the activity she is participating in. We just saw that happen this past May when she went searching for salamanders with Gunther.

I guess that was the only way Luann could get Tiff to “volunteer” – tell her to come to the (ahem) “party.”

Will Gunther show up after his appointment?

For once, I have to agree with Knute on this one.

Knute can’t understand Tiffany because she didn’t say anything about toilets.

I’m looking forward to seeing Tiffany grubby, messy, unglamorous—and discovering herself valued for her contribution, not her looks. And yes, sadly, I do suspect that she knows more about dirty old men than dirty old work clothes. It would explain a lot about her.

It’s weird, but in a way, I end up feeling sorry for Tiff……..

Here we go once again. Tiff in her out of place area(s). I am getting a bit tired of this line. Get her filthy …just once!!

Tiff didn’t like messes when dealing with kids, though she wasn’t a TOTAL drama queen about it so just maybe she’ll actually help but in her current clothes. So I bet she’ll end up doing windows or something.

What’s with that outfit Tiffany is drawn in? C’mon, Greg – Tiffany may be a flirt etc. etc. but – with the exception of her eyes of whatever costume – she usually dresses with more class than this! And what about the front stripe (zipper?) detail that disappears in the second and third panels? Pay attention here, Greg!

Knute knows about ‘dirty’ and ‘clothes’, but it’s laughable that he derides Tiffany about ‘work’ Has Knute ever had a job? Tiff has way more work experience, both employed and self employed.

Just wondering why the colors are sometimes different in the “Luann en Espanol” version. When it is different the Spanish version usually has more muted colors.

Fooled me plenty.

Where’s Gunther?

The only word she understood of that was “clothes.” :P

I’ll be patient and see what develops here. But I’ll be very disappointed if this devolves into yet another Tiffany the punching bag story. We were just starting to see her character grow. Don’t walk it back. I’m also a bit confused about how Tiffany got invited. Last time I saw Tiff and Lu conversing it was immediately after the “Tiff’s dorm room” incident and Luann stopped just short of calling her a conniving strumpet. And Lu planned on having Quill here as well. In that case, I wouldn’t think she’d invite Tiffany in a million years. Maybe Tiff got her invitation second hand.

ive got a feeling this is going to be used to connect Tiff and Gunther together even more. I mean she might be mean at times but what Knute said was rather mean.. Gunther understands about being picked on and I think sooner or later his new found maturity is going to come out and get Tiff to become mature herself.

Let us, indeed, hope that’s the case.

In truth, Greg’s drawing continues to get better, and his “one on one” story lines are quite interesting, although they are like investing in something that really does not pay off in the end. Still, I like most of these paper puppets and continue to hope to see a happy ending somewhere.

Weeeeeell, Tiff is HERE! Now How MUCH You Wanna Bet That the G-Man Shows Up Just after Poor Old Ox finds Out that Gunth’s been Helping Tiffany with Her (A-Hem) “Homework?”

In the early 1970’s, a girl I was dating asked about going canoeing with me. The route involved a short hike, paddling across a good-size pond, a short portage, and a dead-water stream which would take us back to the pond. I TOLD HER what this would entail, and she said she was up for it! When I picked her up that morning, I was stunned by what she was wearing! (semi-hi-heels was only ONE of the shocks!)I convinced her to go back in and dress-down, which, puzzled, she did. She did have a novel, and a good time!

Is Ox actually Sluggo, all grown up?

And, since she’s here, can Gunther be far behind?”^Likely and possibly she was invited (and I would like to think so), but not totally out of the realm of possibility that it could have been that Tiffany just “heard” from the grapevine (with no specific invite). – If Luann texted Gunther or someone else, she could have neglected to mention there being any “restrictions”, and people just forwarded the message along…

“Clothes Encounters”^Ha ha, yup!

Or “en route” to that being the general topic of discussion, Gunther gets “technical” with trying to describe the nature of the relationship he has with her, and Ox comes up with a “profound truth” that leaves Gunther going: “Hunh…never thought of it, like that!”. – Or alternately, Gunther could “give his blessing” to Ox in an “Doesn’t bother me!” moment, but still ends up “competing” with Ox during the cleanup process, in a “1upsmanship” sort of feel…

I think Tiff will surprise us all!

Tiffany does know the word Clothes. Probably not Old, Dirty, or Work.

I agree with the kinder comments on this panel which is that Tiffany will do something surprising and not selfish once she gets the drift of what is going on. I think the arc generally shows a more sensitive side to Tiff, the basis for why she is the way she is, and perhaps some maturing on her part.. What I want to know is not that Knute shows up where is that little hottie Crystal?

Oxford and Tiffany continue to be at ease with each other. Although her flirtation with Gunther has huge storyline potential, I think Oxford is a better choice for her as a boyfriend. I rather like both Tiffany and Oxford, especially when they are together.

Implausible…. while it is apparently true that Luann did not invite Tiffany to the New Year’s party… I still tend to feel that they are friends of a sort and are becoming more so. For me, the comic where Luann, Tiffany, and Bernice were laughing and talking and skyping with Delta over the computer was to me a very strong indication that Luann and Tiffany are becoming more friends than rivals. For me, the bringing together of Ox and Tiffany again suggests that we MAY get another glimpse of more deep emotions from Tiffany. It seems plausible that Gunther (who I think is developing affection for Tiffany even though he does not want to admit it) and Ox (who has somewhat “primitively” suggested an affection for Tiffany) may end up recognizing that they both are liking her, and if Tiffany becomes aware of a conflict between Gunther and Ox, it may be an opportunity for Greg to give us another tiny glimpse into the deeper emotions of Tiffany.

She really isn’t evil- just “on a different page of the book from everyone else”… – Though she did have a phase or two, with the “underwear incident” with Luann, and the whole “standing up Gunther” thing, which she probably now would regret….

6A mildly interesting set-up for today. Not a huge payoff today, but there is definitely potential for Friday and Saturday. To me, Ox seems to look a bit different than before. Perhaps he has trimmed down a bit from the way he was previously drawn? Not sure. But, something looks different to me.Tiffany apparently clued in on the word “party” without catching the first adjective, “cleaning”. OR perhaps this is an outfit that she considers old enough and not as “cutting edge” stylish enouigh… that she is going to wear it while cleaning… and then donate it to the fashionably less fortunate? Knute is seeming to be getting a strong work ethic! He is continuing to work while he talks in today’s story. Usually, he seems to have preferred leaning on broom handles while he chats away… or at least that has always been my impression…. sort of a “Beetle Bailey” sort of work ethic previously.

Come on, those ARE Tiffany’s working clothes. She works at looking attractive. Now let’s get Crystal into the action.

Tiff could have work-out clothes. You can get those very dirty or at least sweaty. But Greg would probably draw a belly-exposing tank top. Sigh…

Don’t forget Ox has very rich parents, and exceedingly indulgent ones at that. Yet he seems normal in that respect.

I’d like to see Crystal in Ranger school like those 2 female officers that just graduated. I’d have been dead after the first day.. 50 pound back packs and I struggle with 40pound bags of top soil. Tiffany is more my type.
