Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Its so cool how Dick doesnât give a @#*% about what the funny pages have to say about him. Adam Austin, Vera Alldick whateverâŚHe is above all thatâŚafter all, whoâs got more guts than Dick TracyâŚHeâs a Ninja Master of Zen comics..
@cpalmeresq; do you think this is only going to be an interlude? I would guess thereâs going to some more development; maybe one of the classic villains who hasnât yet shuffled off this mortal coil will become obsessed with the âMidnite Mirrorâ film, since it gives him an opportunity to see Tracy killed in the end, andâŚ.
Weâve seen what we now learn to be a movie shoot for several weeks already, but here Coffee says that filming starts ânext weekâ? Have we skipped back in time?
Weâve seen what we now learn to be a movie shoot for several weeks already, but here Coffee says that filming starts ânext weekâ? Have we skipped back in time?____________________
Methinks theyâve been in production for awhile, but scenes slated to be filmed specifically at the Patterson Playhouse location have yet to be shot.
We may have flashed back to just prior to the âMidnite Mirrorâ shoot that weâve been following for the last weeks. But in any case, while I am appreciative of the explication of the text by Vitamin Flintheart, that old thespian, I would not like to see his character reduced to being solely the surrogate mouthpiece for Team Tracy, as he has been a number of times in his recent appearances. His arc with Kandikane Lane is the important recent exceptionâŚ.
A pleasant day to all my friends.-âââââ-@Vista Bill Raley: Youâre too young for the old folks home.-âââââ-Be happy and healthy everyone.
Always good to see Vitamin. I like that the old ham has placed a photo of Kandikane Lane next to one of the late Snowflake Falls. A little exposition helps keep the pace brisk.
Well, like in all Dick Tracy stories, there is a Crime up ahead, STILL to take place. Something to get the wheels of Justice moving at the real MCU.â
Our reading focus has been held through a wild scenario of a make believe Cops and Robbers film featuring characters with names like Boss Tracy - the criminal master mind, Police Chief Pruneface and Independent investigator FlattopThere. as it rolled on In bizarre fashion (unexplained) for 3 week
WHY (?) Show us all this detailed activity, to have a Crime elsewhere ?
And today. had youâ been âdistractedâ by (say) the frivolities of the adventures of Bill and Rikki or his more serious medical tests (?) . . . there was Vitamin, planted at the repaired Patterson Playhouse flipping the lips with Coffee to point us back to the scene of the upcoming crime ? ! So it almost seems inevitable a crime (a kidnapping ? a murder?) will take place there.
And as we traverse week *four
of the tale, you realize Mike is âtaking his timeâ to âkickâ off the ball. to start the game (the chase / the deduction / the apprehension /) ?
But not to worry ârelated recordsâ on these things are comfortably held in Dicky Locherâs hands . . .
âCame in the strips of the 75th Anniversary story (of 2006) Rogue ,âMind Readerâ - Dr. Figment Froid . . .The tale ran for 5 month (shy 5 days).Time to the Crime was 15 WEEKS from commencement !And the tale âenjoyedâ a long one room sequence . . . (Tracy/Froid/Smith) that lasted 6 weeks and a day !Claustrophobic ? Length of Time in a small Space ?
Just some âunusualâ Tracy âSTATSâ - for those that may have an âinterestâ in those things
People were saying that Venus (I wonder if she survived) looked like Jessica Rabbit (from Who Framed Roger Rabbit). Supermodel Heidi Klum dressed up as Jessica Rabbit for Halloween in a very elaborate costume with apparently 9 hours worth of makeup work by a whole team of makeup artists.
The Daily Mail has some pictures of the makeup procedure (taken from Klumâs Instagram), several pictures of the final result, and pictures of some other interesting costumes worn by the rich and famous.
I think this whole thing looks like the first act of an Agatha Christie play. All of Tracyâs worst villains are gathered in one place ONLY they turn out to be actors playing Tracy villains THEN one by one they start being murdered WE KNOW one is guilty but not which one THEN the REAL TRACY uses his DEDUCTIVE ABILITY to SOLVE THE CRIME.

âAdam Austinâ was a pen name of the late comic artist Gene Colan.

.Good morning guys!.Vitamin is here and Coffee is here, but thereâs no Vista Bill. Oh, well. I suppose itâs time to move on to the old folks home.

So those who suggested the âalternate universeâ might be a novel are also correct.

Oh, and I guess they fixed up the Patterson Playhouse after the Gruesome Incident.

Note the pictures of Snowflake and Kandikane Lane on Vitaminâs dressing table.
Seems the old boyâs quite the romantic.

Hereâs an almost completely random panel of art by Gene Colan/âAdam Austin,â of Tony Stark âŚ
And a favorite cover, the final issue of TALES OF SUSPENSE, #99, circa 1968 âŚ

When Coffee says the film âStarts filming here next weekâ, I thought he meant âhere in our cityâ, not necessarily the Playhouse.

Maybe that mirror image âerrorâ is Joeâs subtle joke about this whole backwards, good is bad, bad is good theme.

Adam Austin wrote âThe Midnite Mirrorâ? There goes my theory that it was written by Angeltop, due to the flattering portrayal of her father.

With great respect to Frank Miller, I always felt the best Daredevil artists were Gene Colan and Wallace Wood.
