Cute with a side order of creepy. Though this a happy moment, we readers know what happens afterwards, which adds that creepy vibe.

I think they’re closed-circuit cameras…like “nursery cams” or “security cams” sold now in the U.S.. But probably monitored by Apex (which can happen with wireless security/nursery cams now in our reality).

Am I missing something? Are BuddiBombs really explosive? Or are they some kind of alcoholic beverage? Like Jägerbombs, Jägermeister and Red Bull? I was afraid to ask what kind of beverage is provided in a chihuahua shaped bottle before. (Stimpy, you idiot!) Links in profile?

Judging by the jingle the tall girl sings, it’s a commercially-advertised product. But who are these women( forget about them already appearing before)? Holly would be a relative newbie to their elevated neighborhood. Are they truly welcoming her, or actually working for Apex? Was pregnant Holly brought the closed housing for some sinister purpose, and are these women part of the plot?

My thanks to our author on fleshing out the pre war universe of Endtown…….To those suspecting APEX you would be right.Holly and Lyn are being watched. They were in the area of a known mutation and Lyn was grabbed by it. It would be in the best interest of APEX to “monitor” these two for any changes…….I would even suspect Holly’s friends being in on watching them and also being used by APEX as a sort of mass experimentation. In our own universe things were done on the public. Back in the Civil Defense days they had to know these things so releasing a foul chemical odor and following the reports of it as folks call it in. Check the spread via weather and wind patterns. I use to wonder did the government do this with the flu……watch the spread pattern over a city environment. I know personally in the military they hit us one time with something. About twenty of us soldiers spread out over an area with instructions to stay put where we were assigned. I was in a truck under a camo tent. This chopper was flying about in the dark zipping over at low level. I got sick with flu like symptoms and reported to the hospital. They gave me a shot, took down the info on my location and duty prior to getting sick and sent me back to the barracks. I was well in two days. Funny I only got sick after that chopper buzzed the area.

From Urban Dictionary: Cherry Bomb:5…Skip first four definitions…

    cherry bomb

A mixed drink consisting of Vodka and Red Bull

Yo man, Cool World is giving out Cherry Bomb’s $2 a pop!

    cherry bomb

A cherry bomb is a type of firecracker that’s explosion is half of that of an M-80.You can light up one of these and tie it to a brick and throw it into the ocean off the pier. When it blows up, it makes this huge explosion, making a bubble in the water. If there were any fish next to it when it blew up, you’d probably see them float up with it.

My dad liked blowing cherry bombs up in the water when he was a kid, but then those dumbass kids had to blow their hands up. I did’nt even get a chance to try them.

    cherry bomb

a drug combination consisting of either LSD or psychedelic mushrooms and dextromethorphan.

took a cherry bomb, flew into space, met the space-gnomes, came back to earth feeling like superman. After this, I may recall a drink the cool kids talked about, a high school beverage in the 1960s called “cherry bomb” made like a boilermaker, except with a shot of Everclear absolute alcohol dropped in a glass of cherry brandy.(But mom, I only had one drink ) Also a song from much later by The Runaways from whence came Joan Jett and Lita Ford. Joan Jett later became Tess Turbo and The Blackheads, and Lita Ford formed a duo with Ozzy.

The super tall lady must be Kirbee. Her neck is so long and looks like she stands a whole head taller than the rest. That would make her appear to be a bit of a freak.

Plus Holly looks beautiful in panel 1, and all the toy mice! She obviously liked mice a lot, probably collected them, like many people collect things.I collect little mouse, rat collectables, and I had a friend who collected frogs.Really no wonder she is half nuts, If I had lost one of my kids in late pregnancy, it would have done a number on me. She obviously really wanted this baby.

I can’t help but wonder about Apex Buddbombs. My understanding is that Apex is an all purpose military contractor that produces all sorts of weapons and supplies soldiers and technical personnel. Them selling something in the consumer market is so from their modus opperendi that it should raise all sorts of eyebrows. I can’t imagine any military contractor being able to make a profit selling consumer goods. The fact that they mass produced, advertised and marketed them to the public suggests that they want these things in all sorts of homes. I’m guessing they’re going for mass surveillance but it could be set up as a way to lease all sorts of biological or chemical agents. This goes far beyond keeping an eye on Holly and Lyn.

This is how America would market cyanide capsules that spies were supposed to carry around with them during WWII and the early 50’s, in case they needed to commit suicide when captured.

The first thing I could think of is that they’re like an electronic, lethal-force watchdog. They fly around near to whoever or whatever they’re supposed to be protecting and if they perceive any threat, they chase it down and blow it up.

Been stuck with computer problems these past couple of days—-had access through a recently-purchased laptop, but not access to my premium membership ability to make rude comments. Don’t know if it’s cleared up yet, though, but here I am now…Anyway…I take note of the baby T-shirt Holly’s holding up in Panel One—-the one with the picture of a cat on it. Foreshadowing Wally?

I just had a realization regarding the Buddibombs. Using them for home monitoring, if the “bomb” part is to be taken literally, would be kind of counterproductive to their purpose.

I think they’re antipersonnel devices (12 scattered around the yard, to finally teach that neighbor not to curb his dog, that would probably do it).
