Ahhhh… The days of wandering the aisles of the video rental place. Whether it was Blockbuster or the Mom and Pop shop stuffed into a small space in a 100 year old building, the conversations were always the same. Now we just scroll through movie menus until it’s too close to bedtime to watch an entire movie and decide to skip it.

“Casablanca” was not a foreign film. Just saying. “Snow White” and “Pinocchio” are both mouse free though.

The Far Side? Steve has great taste.

I miss the Far Side. Why aren’t there reruns?

Steve doesn’t read much. It makes his brain hurt.

“Dumb foreign film? Casablanca? It’s got Bogart in it, Steve-A-Rino, isn’t that enough for you?

I would rather watch a Stallone or Schwarzenegger flick over a rom-com any day of the year. Just this past weekend my daughter & I watch “The Last Action Hero” & had the best time (her 1st; my umpteenth).

In the 7th panel, that doesn’t look like “FLICK”.

Aw, Steve, your problem isn’t with mice, it’s mouse!! One mouse in particular!!

That’s what make Netflix & Chill work. You turn on Netflix and select any ol’ movie and then pretty soon you are ignoring it and then, uh.., turn-on other things….

The title of that book is a little fuzzy on my monitor, but if it is “Sophie’s choice,” — what an uplifting book for a romantic date night.

There are 32 places in the world called Casablanca. One is in North Carolina, Steve… tho’ I doubt she meant THAT one… or HAS a movie been made of that spot?

(I hope the strip is simply lampooning Steve’s ignorance, and that the public in general hasn’t forgotten an all-time classic on the film list — both AFI’s and the world’s.)

If you want cartoon mice, you can’t go wrong with Tom and Jerry (or the more sadistic Simpsons version, Itchy and Scratchy). Chuck Jones’ Hubie and Bertie cartoons were hilarious too.

Ain’t it the truth about M/F movie night?

Any Stallone flick? Even…Oscar? Personally, I loved that one.

ANY Stallone flick, Steve? You SURE about that? Okay, “Rhinestone” it is. (But only because this strip is before “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot” came out.)

Can’t go wrong with the Far Side.

Of Mice and Men, or anyway, mice and Steve Dallas, who is sort of like a man, in some ways….

Not my choice of books for a romantic evening, but maybe Alyson isn’t into the “romance” thing with Steve-o….
