I still remember my 1st cigarette…it was heaven, until I got hooked!

Yep, my first and only one was like that, well the 1st and last panels

I will stick with occasional quality cigar.

I remember when I tried to smoke – it made my eyes feel weird, of all things. And that was the end of that.

Just as hilarious as it was when first published.

And what an adventure it was.

The adventure of upchucking should deter anyone from smoking.

I smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for almost thirty years before I finally quit in 2005. Now if I am around anyone who smokes I start coughing.

Started when I was 20, quit when I was 30

I remember turning green after my first cigarette, sick as anything. I was 16. Smoked them things for 6 years until I got delivered, thank God!.

Never smoked, never will.

“Honey, can you go to the drug store? I need the baby’s medicine.”

“Aw gee. Can’t it wait til morning? I’m tired, it’s late, and it’s raining cats and dogs.”

About an hour later, discovers he’s out of smokes….

“I have to run to the store. Need anything?”

I had exactly the same experience. Except for, um, y’know, the middle two panels.

That’s exactly what the Surgeon General was warning us about. Don’t jump out of planes and ride on Miami Vice contraband speed boats. It leads to smoking.
