cabalonryeActually it is extremely rare that more than one personality emerges at one time. The problem itself is rare enough. Dr. Corbin Thigpen (the psychiatrist in The Three Faces of Eve) was asked to consult in over a hundred such cases and says he only found one (in addition to “Eve”) the he thought genuine, the rest “hysteria” (an old term for schizophrenia, which is not a split personality, but various forms of a split from reality).

I guess it’s in the genes.

I wonder if Jimbo would still get the hots for fat biker babe Meemaw? In old strips he was always trying to convince Rose to put on a lot of weight and was always comparing her weight to her mother.

We all had alter egos growing up. Some of us lose them when we grow up, some of us grown up into our alter egos. I always envisioned myself as a Marine, SCUBA instructor, mountain climber, skydiver, shooting guns and crossbows, motorcycles, good husband with a hot wife, good dad with at least 4 kids, a man of faith and good morals. So I became my alter ego, and least most of him. Still working on being good. I have trouble liking stupid people and tend to get into fights even at 71. Aw well, you do the best you can. At least I am happy and have no regrets.

If anyone ever needed absolute proof that Rose is MeeMaw’s daughter, this is it.
