They need to go back and ask the aide if anyone else was near her office. They’ll find out that old smiley Selfie was there. After he bumped of Bellowthon. He went to get the 10 grand from that old hag!!
More evidence of Mysta in motion today. Over the past few days, she’s looked straight at Tracy, stood alongside him, had Tracy seemingly behind her, and now today, he’s behind her again as she peers over her shoulder.
Finally, Mysta states for the record she did no harm to Bellowthon. It sounds like Tracy accepts her claim as the truth, so I expect this will end all suspicion about her and place all the attention on Selfy. I hope the conversation is over for Sam’s sake. He’s not looking too good.
OK folks; I hate to feel “un-hip” or “square” but I’m an old man with a neurological embarrassment, and I can’t see what the matter is in regard posting. Maybe I could gets a heads up? In regard to the strip, Maybe the child “Honeymoon” is to blame.
These past few days in Mysta’s chilling room have simply been delightful. Mr. Staton’s art revels loving care for a character who is an essential part of Tracyville. Her body language, hand gestures and facial expressions make for an enchanting series of strips. We are reminded of her deep commitment to Honeymoon’s welfare, which last year brought her to Ace Tower to brave mortal danger as she answered the cry for help of her Imoto-Chan. That we find her embracing frigid temperatures hearkens back to the season of Mysta’s debut in 1964.
The changes wrought by Moon Maid’s DNA continue, a development I find especially exciting, if not unexpected. Haters shall hate: it is who they are. Bellowthon was a vile creature, full of judgment and spite. It is no crime to be relieved that the threat to Honeymoon appears to have died with Bellowthon. Mysta glances at Tracy over her shoulder, luscious locks swept aside to reveal her bare back. Her concern for Honeymoon’s safety is paramount, and she trusts Tracy’s judgement on the matter. I couldn’t be more pleased with this week’s strips. What a great time to be a Tracy fan!
Thanks to Willy007, Vista Bill, Night-Gaunt49, Gweedo, Neil Wick, Chris Sherlock and JPuzzleWhiz for the kind words. Very much appreciated!
To say you’re “not sorry” a person is gone is not the same thing as saying you’re “glad.” Does Mysta look like she’s celebrating when she says it? Sounds like she’s just being honest, since Bellowthon was persecuting Honeymoon and trying to destroy her life. I wouldn’t be sad about the death of a person who was bent on hurting my friend, either.
As for the “panting groupies” comment, wow. For some reason you have a habit of mocking, spewing contempt against and finding the worst in people you disagree with. Why is that? You need some help, man.
“To take glee she’s at rest is certainly tacky at best”
Um, who exactly is taking “glee” at Bellowthon’s death? And why the rip against Pequod? And against people who like Mysta? I think Frank had some good advice for you. You’re lashing out in every direction.
…..sorry, being “not sorry” someone was murdered is malicious – to me, anyways. Then again, I guess I’m malicious as well, because bottom line, that character is NOT the real Moon Maid, and the whole charade is just too weird for me…….maybe Selfie can add her to the list before they catch him…..
Although I do not pant over a delightfully looking young lady as I once did still I have a feeling that Mysta is telling the truth. But your point about
“To be glad someone is dead is very telling.”
is troubling. But to be perfectly honest. This type of story-line is hitting close to me as well. There is too many people who use fear mongering to advance theirs, and others agendas and who gets caught in the wake? Ones like me. so I do understand Mysta’s feelings.
Does that mean I advocate violence? No, I’m a strong believer in Dr. King’s teachings but still I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t feel fear and /self-preservation./
If Bellowthorne had popular support, then Honeymoon is definitely not safe. Intolerant people don’t listen to legal decisions, and I’d fear angry protestors following her around, such as back in the civil rights movement.
To be fair, she never said she was glad Bellowthon is dead. Bellowthon was causing her problems and now the source of those problems is gone. I wouldn’t think she’d be sad about that, but she never suggested any desire for Bellowthon to be dead.
You are correct in your assessment, Neil. In fact the term for it is “cheating out.” In other words, you are cheating actual reality a bit for the purpose of facing out to the audience.
—
Thanks for he reply on that. I didn’t know what it was called.
I may regret posting this, but as others have said, I simply don’t see Mysta being “glad” that Bellowthon is dead. It’s a distorted characterization at best. Mysta doesn’t look happy, and there’s a world of difference between what she actually says, “I’m not sorry she’s gone,” and something like “I’m glad she’s dead! Whoopee!”
What Mysta says is perfectly understandable given the circumstances. It’s a snapshot of the emotions she’s feeling right now, not a testimony that she’s callously unsympathetic in general about people who’ve been murdered. Mysta has for weeks been extremely concerned about Honeymoon, who has been publicly attacked by Bellowthon as a “menace” both in Congress and no doubt the press. Now that the person who has been demonizing her friend is gone, she’s not going to shed any crocodile tears. This doesn’t show Mysta to be “fake” and not “pure” and “malicious,” it just shows that she’s not going to play the hypocrite, and pretend to be feeling something she is not. How such a statement has been turned on its head and presented as evidence that Mysta is somehow gleefully celebrating someone’s death is, I’m sorry, ludicrous. I don’t care for the derisive and insulting speech in the post, either.
[Selfy] had the strongest motive by far, and what he did to Coffee proves his willingness to use violence.
—
I agree with all of that, but Tracy doesn’t [yet] know anything about the missing money, so far as I know, so he doesn’t know about the motive, though he does know about the willingness to use violence.
Hey, that’s cool, Neil! Looks great, too. Thanks for giving me a look. Is that something you do every day?

So far, I’ve just set up one chat page for this story and I’ve just been trying it out a bit, along with a few others. I’ve been thinking about making a page for every day, or maybe for each scene (which extends over a few days), but I’m waiting to see how much detail is needed and whether there is enough demand.
Mysta isn’t being gleeful over the death of Bellowthon. It would be more of a feeling of relief. She’s safe for now, as long as somebody else doesn’t start pushing the bill.
WOW! Talk about being cowardly. In the future PQ if you’ve got a beef with me feel free to express it to me directly. No need to hide behind someone else’s post.
.
Why would you even think that? What could possible lead you to such a conclusion? Were you taking the cyber detective route to see from whence Frank emanated? Why would you think Pequod would have a reason first? Why he wouldn’t confront you directly and think he has a “beef” with you in the first place?
I’m going to go with Tracy: “Thanks, Mysta. That’s all for now.”
Tracy and Sam need to complete the first phase of their investigation (viz., interview Selfy) before assessing the known facts and settling on any suspect….
Why would you even think that?.Because I’m not as stupid as mother thought I was! LOL!. Seriously, whenever I express an opinion PQ always has to refute it in a sneaky way. I don’t care. Today was way too obvious. If you’ve got something to say man up and say it.
.If those words don’t convince the Panting Mysta’s Groupies out there that she’s not as pure as the fake snow in her ice box nothing will. To be glad someone is dead is very telling.
I made a similar comment when I heard that my stepfather passed away. But that doesn’t mean that I killed him (it would have been quite a trick to pull off, seeing as I live in NH and he died in South Carolina, a state I’ve never been to!).
He was a poor excuse for a father, as well as that of a human being. He was a liar, a cheat and a total sleaze.

Mysta Chimera is not the same: body changing still
She met with the foul Bellowthon, next needed time to chill.
In her room the flakes do swirl, as in a winter blizzard
A brave and selfless heroine. Lunarian, not a wizard.
Mysta Tracy’s DNA it courses through her veins
The Chimera she’s a-changin’, unfettered from her chains.
Onee-San is mindful of her dear Imoto-Chan
She must protect her dearest friend from the hateful plan.
Sam and Tracy at her door, understandably have questions
Bellowthon discovered dead. Homicide demands detections.
Mysta she is good and true, her responses right and straight
Sought but to shelter her dear friend, sans violence or hate.
Mysta, she is so marvelous, protective of her friend
Neither murderous nor malicious, she’s steadfast to the end.

I think it’s says she’s only human.
Bellowthon was spewing hatred and conjuring up national paranoia against only two people, one of them a child.
I don’t imagine there’ll be a long line of mourners.
