Funny how Luann was disinterested, till Tiff made her move.

I’m glad Pru was there. Pru should be able to help Luann sort it out. Luann should realize how little she needs to prove anything to Tiffany. So is Luann still 18 too? I thought it was 19. Luann – you have so much time to make good choices! If Jack is smarter than he looks – he’ll tell Luann Tiff wasn’t any fun at the band gig. Maybe in the bathroom half the time – trying to make everything look perfect…

Why is Pru still living at the DeGroots? I would have thought by now that she would have at least gotten her own studio apartment.

Tiff and the others are 18? I thought Brad was 22 or 23 and Luann is 2 yrs younger. Plus, this is their second year at college.

Instead of being angry, Luann should be taking notes on how to treat a man.

The bright colors in the panels almost suggest that Pru is just the one to help cheer up Luann,  and brighten her day.

When this arc dries out – I would like to see Luann & Tiff become better friends. There’s room for both to grow here. Also – as far as I know – Tiff hasn’t had a serious boyfriend. Maybe she was jealous of Luann in that respect.

Pru will impart some words of wisdom to Luann, or point out her gullibility with Tiff

Frankly, I don’t know how she can stand the annoying bratty 5-year-olds!!!

Glad to see Pru to the rescue – Luann needs some “prudence” now: ‘prudent behavior’, prudent composure’, ‘prudent judgment’. Hmmm … I’m thinkin’ Pru’s character/personality reflects her name, and vice versa.

Oh man I know I might get attacked for being a Trufan, but I am a proud one, although I will criticize the main character or characters if I see it valid. I don’t think Luann is being a brat here; Tiffany and Luann have a long history of pushing each other’s buttons and they know how to do it. Remember also Bernice and Tiffany, and the issue with Piro, the room, the TV, the mutual fibbing? I will defend TIffany as well, she is just doing what she always does with Luann in particular. She should not do it, but I think that showing Luann, who is a babe (sorry if some people may think that is sexist, but I don’t care, I think the fact that she is drawn to be beautiful, and sexually attractive in a subdued way, is a counterpoint to Tiffany who is drawn the same but not subdued) that she, Tiffany, is more attractive to men is very important to her sense of self. I know that is psychobabble, but I can do that with my favorite comic characters if I wanna (lol). Personally I think it is better to look at the overall direction of the arcs, rather than only the interplay within them. I mean we spent months on Brad and Toni, and at the rate they are going we might be expecting a new DeGroot pretty soon. This is a foundation for new directions after the wedding, so right now I am just riding the sea. It will come to port somewhere, just wait.

Luann’s P.O.‘d and jealous, and she doesn’t know why .

I don’t know why you had Tiffany reverting to her old ways. She’d grown since going to college. She has shown empathy toward Piro and Gunther and even shows a slight friendship toward Bernice. And yet you have her going back to High School Tiffany.

This is more an ego/self-esteem thing than a sexual jealousy angle. Commenters keep missing that.

Luann brings these situations onto herself. She knows how Tiffany is but engages with her anyway, like Charlie Brown (I said this before) who always trusts Lucy to hold the ball when he comes running to kick; but she always pulls it away. Luann should just do her work and leave Tiffany instead of always falling into her traps.

Wonder if Luann has a lock on her trash can, too?

Luann not happy about being ‘rescued’ by Tiff

I smell a sexual assault story line coming. Some may see it as Tiff getting a comeuppance, whilst others may see it as her getting a wake-up call. Only time will tell.

This looks just like the strip where Luann raged to Quill on her laptop (of course, not really caring that Quill was privy to her outburst) about Tiffany being “out of control” when, ironically, SHE was the one not in control. Could someone bring that one up?

It seems as if Frank & Nancy have abandoned their house, leaving Pru as a surrogate mother for Luann. That’s probably for the better, since Nancy is as clueless as the rest of the adults in Luanniverse. But you have to feel sorry for Pru; she left a budding career in New York to be with a family. Now she’s eating frozen pot pies and kibble, all alone except for an annoying 18 year old brat.

Luann is displaying her self centered side, same as with Quill before they broke up. Jack just wanted to out on a date. He asked Luann first and it was clear she didn’t really want that. So then Jack meets Tiffany; they connect and want to go out together, which they will now do. But Luann can’t be happy for them and instead is furious because her ego is punctured. Hopefully Pru will set her straight.
