I think caviar is on my “itch list” when it comes to food. Not too personally sure about fugu though.

A little caviar on a canape is okay. But I think anything like a bowl full would be an overload for me.

And I don’t much like escargot or calamari.

But do love anchovies, on pizza or salad. And a sardine sandwich is good on isolated occasions.

    “Garçon" actually means “boy”.

Somewhat insulting if you think about it.

Caviar comes in all grades – starting with cheap. I was served deviled eggs with caviar sprinkled on top when I was in the Army. But it’s my guess if you ate a whole bowl of caviar you couldn’t keep it all down.

I think most of us remember Item #1 on Luann’s Itch List: Running naked over hot coals in Alaska. Luann & Tara would be quite a team. It could be drawn so we don’t see anything we aren’t supposed to see. Maybe Greg wold draw Luann & Tara just visualizing it during their conversation.

Glad this arc is continuing. I want to get back to the Ann Eiffel arc eventually.

But at the moment, we’re on a roll here. Tara makes this arc an intriguing mystery, because she’s non-stop hyper, and you don’t know where things will go next.

Isn’t this the same goat-beard skinny guy who rang up Lunn’s book purchase? Has Luann come up with their own generic “pimply-face teen” character who fills all trivial positions?

RE: An earlier post about community colleges having cafeterias. Cafeterias aren’t like full service, costly restaurants. They are often places where students on work-study scholarships )especially in hospitality, food management, nutritional studies and restaurant management) can work part time to defray the cost of their tuition. (That is also true for 4 year colleges). The community college system here in Seminole County, Florida has cafeterias at each campus, as does the Valencia Community College system in Volusia County and Orange County. Tallahassee’s Community College also has a cafeteria. Esssentially, those eating there take trays through a line to get servings of food, and then take their tray and dishes to the central receiving area at the end of the meal. Not a luxury type place, a very utilitarian one that meets an important need for people whose hours may greatly vary, and who may not be able to bring food with them while taking classes…

I LIKE her, too. Whe I was a little guy living down south,we used to eat fish roe. It wasn’t caviar, of course, because it came from poor old fresh water fish with no pedigree.

This is getting interesting. I’m wondering if Tara will (eventually) replace Bernice as Lu’s BFF. If Bern were still to be Lu’s BFF, I’d have thought that Lu would have transferred to Moony by now, so they could have more time together. Unless, of course, we are suspending time again (i.e. Lu is still pursuing a 2 year Associates degree). We’ll have to see. For now, it just seems like Tara is going to be one of LU’s “projects,” but we’ll see. That said, Tara does seem rather interesting and it will prove interesting to see where Greg/Karen go with this.

Caviar is very light in weight. Watch out for jars of expensive caviar where the only caviar is sticking to the inside of the glass. It’s like the old Latin expression “Caviar Empty.”

Luann is still a little wary and tentative but I think she and Tara are going to become friends, much to Bernice’s surprise and maybe disapproval. Already Tara has shown Luann that they have something in common…desire to try new things. But they could be complementary in other ways.

I think when they have lunch – Tara is going to get serious for a few moments – and Luann will see how much Tara needs a friend that is not like the ones Tara had. Luann tends to be helpful – and she may be rewarded with some fun escapades.
