This is why we buy several different flavors of cat food for our kitty. She doesn’t seem to have any favorites, but it makes us feel better about ourselves.

I had that last year. I might have it again this year.

I seem to recall Puddles being a picky eater when it comes to dog kibble. I suppose that was only for a gag, just as this is – although I do love it when the plot details remain consistent.

Serious business..I read that it is better NOT to switch your dog food up. Their digestive systems do better w/o having to adjust to different foods. Just FYI.

Growing up, we had pasta every single Sunday without fail, and it never got old.

I feed my cat dry and wet and I try to get different varieties. Then I also give him chicken and chicken livers occasionally for a change. He does live outside and he also varies his diet with a squirrel now and then. Strangely they start eating….. Well I won’t go into the gruesome details.

I love Puddles! I hope he lives forever in Cartoon land and I always look forward to seeing him.

And what’s wrong with spaghetti? I know of folks who would have pasta as a meal staple every night instead of potatoes.

Put down that shaker, Nancy, you’d spice up any meal by just being there.

What a whiner. Be grateful you have regular meals.

Okay, I realize we’re supposed to think that Luann is a finicky eater but comparing the eating habits of dogs, who happily can (and possibly should) eat the same thing day in and day out, with humans, who generally crave variety (if they have the option) seems a little silly. (I’m also guessing that Luann isn’t a big fan a spaghetti or she wouldn’t mind having it a week later.)

It’s good to see Luann again. Maybe We’ll see MORE of her once this current, Epic, “Edge of your seat,” story arc ends.

Say, Luann maybe can renew her friendship with her old Pal, Gunther. He’ll need a friend after dealing with His mom marrying a creepy “unknown,” being forced to live in a stockade, excuse me, “guest house” with an even creepier Dangerous Felon, and watching a young woman he’s slowly developing feeling for fall into the clutches of that creepier dangerous felon.

Maybe Luann, Tiffany, Bernice and Gunther dressed as a Vulcan can watch classic Trek on the couch together.

This strip is a total fantasy.

No dog food company is going to keep the same box design all those years.

I do like the pleasure that Luann feels after all this time when she feeds Puddles and sees how happy he is as he waits to chow down.

Puddles is the safest character in Luann after Luann herself. If he left that would be a MAJOR issue, he is so popular, and always there whatever happens with Luann. Of course an example is the trauma in For Better or Worse. Lost Farleigh, and then the marriage broke up. I don’[t know which was more traumatic even after all these years of reading that strip.

Beautiful. A nod to the wonder of dogs’ gratitude & joie de vivre, and a nod to Luann’s comic history over the decades; and a gentle irony of us humans with our oversized (& easily bored) brains.

Pardon my French – but Luann looks good reaching up into the cupboard. Greg & Karen might want to consider working with fashion advertisers using some of the good looking Luann characters wearing the products being marketed.

Greg must not have a pet, or he’d know you don’t usually feed them 3 times a day!

So puddles has been eating the same food and has lost weight….I’ve been doing it all wrong!

Spaghetti every week sounds great! Just had it last night and will again (as leftovers) tonight … I’m excited!!!

There was a “Far Side” cartoon many years back that showed the owner preparing dinner for the dogs, and one dog is happily saying to the other: “Oh boy, dog food again!”

Go figure.. my dinner t’nite is bbq shredded chicken in spaghetti & Ragu.

That’s weird; they made kind of this joke in reverse in the strip Grand Avenue on Friday.
