It is a shame that there is know way to portray to the general comic reading public that Rodin made his sculptures in Bronze.
BTW: “Le Penseur” (most commonly referred to by the English translation “The Thinker” is supposed to represent the Italian author Dante Alighieri, as he listens to Virgil during his tour of the underworld – As described in Dante’s famous epic poem “The Divine Comedy”
Legend has it that someone once asked Michelangelo how he managed to create such beautiful sculptures and he replied “It’s easy. Just chip away the extra stone that surrounds the statue.”
