Hello, Intruder! Elvis, I strongly suspect this particular Intruder has been known to visit at other times while you lived with the Woman, maybe give her a sniff? And Puck is doing a very good job treating the Intruder as One Of The Family in true cat fashion.
Somehow a cat’s mass increases 1000x when he or she is sitting on a human. Methinks they must borrow mass from other cats who are currently in the middle of a gravity-defying leap somewhere else in the world…
Skeptical as ever eh Elvis? And even Lupin has a poofed tail at the stranger.
At least Puck is being polite and sitting on the stranger’s back, I usually find that cats sit on the bladder region – and how do they manage to quadruple their mass when they do that – when I’m the visitor :)
Dearest Font Lady and her beloved orb! We’re here for you! Know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers! We’re lifting you, pressing close with vibes gentle, but firm, hoping to help close the wound so the healing can begin. We will do what we can to support you in your pain and grief. We are here. We are caring, supporting and close. Loving you! ((((((Font Lady and her orb)))))) ^.,.^<
Cats must test the resilience of all intruders. Where are the best spots to knead dough? How soft are the best “pillows” for sleeping on? What does it take to make the intruder turn over so wet, cold noses can find faces to press against? How much fun will the feet be for pouncing practice? Are intruders noisy? Must test for decibel ranges! Can the intruder be sufficiently roused to make her go to the kitchen & make a snack we can mooch? Oh! The possibilities! >^.,.^<
So why does this guest/intruder get the place of honor in the house, the comfy red sofa? with the fuzzy blanket What was The Woman thinking, doesn’t she know that the comfy red sofa belongs to The Boys who only allow her & The Man to borrow it now and again?
The “intruder” looks mildly annoyed at being awakened by Puck. She should just be glad he’s standing on her back and not walking on her face. That’s how my old black cat used to wake me up.
I fell (again) last night and aggravated old injuries to my right hip and arm. Naturally, Horatio has to lie on my right side today so that his back feet are pressing into my hip and his head is firmly pressed into the worst possible place on my arm. How do they always know? Moving him does no good – he comes straight back.
(I’m fine, just sore and bruised. It happens all the time the last few years.)
With Fido (<<<) it’s not so much as bladder-pillow, but the routine is three head-butts, two circles, and finally a slow settle just below my chin. Of course, that settle usually only lasts about 5 minutes before the whole business must be repeated. Thank the Maker the “check out my right-below-the-tail personal area” tradition has been abandoned. (Please, feel free to “EEWWWW!”
Lady Bri, dear orbster! I haven’t asked about your hubby lately. I apologize! I know you said he had pains & tests. May we enquire as to how he fares? We stand ready to bump & support! And adjusting the furnishings to your lovely new home; does the progression please you? We’re here! Blessings, good friend! (((((Lady Bri & Hubby))))) >^.,.^<
Happy Meowsday, denizens of the great Mega Orb! Deferential obeisances, beloved leader, Georgia!
Northern Indiana is cold, wet, snowy, & “meh” outside, but Hoosier hearts are warm! Do hope comfortable conditions prevail elsewhere!
Am sorry & alarmed at the dryness in so many places, especially on Earth’s flipside! And lifting up those those still digging out from earthquakes and landslides. If there are any orbsters in those areas, special, supportive bumps & vibes of healing coming your way! So sorry you must deal with such horrific conditions!
Love, hugs, and hope for everyone! (((((((((Mega Orb))))))))) >^.,.^<
Sending warm Tuesday orb hugs, bumps and boops. The guest bears a remarkable resemblance to the Woman (maybe sister?). I am loving Lupin’s fluffy tail – the cat of adventure so rarely does that. And Puck sitting in the middle of the back is so true to life, a sleeping cat almost always chooses the most inconvenient place on a human.
When we were expanding our house, my kids had to sleep on mattresses in the den. Here is my 40 pound cat, Cookie, and my 12 yo daughter. When slept on you, you felt it!
I am pretty sure that Sunny has ear mites. I cleaned his ears last night after noticing him scratching and doing that typical “I have ear mites” head shake (and his ears were just as dirty today as they had been last night).
None of the stores in town had the drops for them, so I had to go out to the feed store this morning. Since if one cat has them, they probably all do, I dosed all of my cats. Sunny and Sooti objected with both teeth and claws, so I took Tika and Pingpong into the bathroom and shut the door when I did them, the two older cats took the treatment a lot more calmly than the two younger ones had.

My cats are downright chiropractic when it comes to sleeping on top of me. Not always in a good way.
Whenever I’m a guest, house cats seem to accrete on my sleeping butt like big dust bunnies.

Wow, look at Lupin’s tail! Puck is brave though and Elvis, as always, is skeptical.

I will never get tired of seeing the boys in their pajamas. They are too adorable! Welcome to the Intruder! Love her sassy eyemask!

Are the boys all wearing pajamas? Then those would be… (no, I won’t say it)

That’s right Lupin – tail poof first, ask questions later.

“Guest” hmmm? Investigative journalists must confirm this.

So Puck will ‘Stand on the Intruder’, in a kind of reversal of when the Intruder comes to “Sit on cats.” :-)

Bladder if you are lucky. For gentlemen, there are worse places to have a cat land, or take off from with a powerful kick of the back feet.

I had this happen once. But it was a 50 pound Labrador cross.
