I can not see this being a week long (our time) phone call.
I do not want to see time pass from this being the evening after yesterday’s lingerie party. We left Tiffany while she was on her way to meet Mrs. Fogarty. When we get back to Tiffany, it should be a loop back to the start of the day.
If this week’s arc skips to Fay’s rehersal, a date later in the arc, that would mean that we did not get to follow Tiffany in real time, and do not know what Ann has been doing in real time.
And without getting to the police before Ann does, both Tiffany and Les can face charges for not reporting the fraud.
It’s just too perfect so far. Her mom loves attention, of the negative kind. Lets hope she does let Faye audition at least. Mom is the real drama here.
I keep suspecting we will jump arcs again before it gets back to Tiffany & Ann Eiffel. Maybe something like Luann gets a frantic call from Tara – who needs help…
Well I guess when an outcome isn’t all that plausible thanks to the preceding events, violating “Show, Don’t Tell” really is the only way to ensure that outcome happens.
Reminds me of the time Bernice & Luann’s chin puppets was the smash hit of the Fuse Follies despite, y’know, it being friggin’ chin puppets.
(I’m not saying I wanted Fay to fail; on the contrary, I think it would’ve been nice to see her succeed rather than have it flash-forward to her bragging about everything ending perfectly. Her victory should be earned.
Oooh! Maybe Fay’s Mom will be somebody who can take down Ann? Now, wouldn’t that be fun, to see a take-down by a completely unrelated character…or IS she?
I agree with Uncle Bob, but whoever that is has to learn how to delete comments when they repeat, which sometimes innocently happens. Yea!! Luann, and Fay. There are 5 days left to this arc week, so this is most probably not the end of this arc, but for this Luannfan#! as I get sarcastically described, I am glad to see Luann doing something specific that illustrates her good, and useful abilities and skills.
Well, it looks like I was wrong about helicopter mom not listening to Fay. Good for Fay for speaking up and good for mom for listening. I see this as growth of two minor characters. Now if her mom makes the time to see the play and sees how happy it makes Fay, then she will likely give a little slack in the reins. Maybe not drop them and let her run free, but just understand that Fay’s happiness can be found with loose reins and maybe some guidance from Luann.
I see the Fay arc as kind of a feel good, everything will work out happy arc and I don’t have a problem with that.
Now wouldn’t it be a plot twist if the director of this play turned out to be Quill? Fay gets the part and Luann still tutors her so they get thrown together again?
But, will this rather simple acceptance be all there is by Fay’s Mom? It seems a bit too “rushed” a conclusion for this to be all there is. But who knows?
Will Fay land the “lead” in the play, or will she be cast in some other role? Will she instead be asked to work as part of the “crew”?
Will Axel actually audition? Will he have his negative attitude? Will……
Ugh, not really much to contemplate today, I guess. We will just have to wait and see.
It looks like we will wade thru Fay’s problems with boys and mom this week, along with Luann’s skills as a mentor-wonk. I wonder if her relationship mentoring will provide her with any insights into her own sad track record with young males?
“You’re gonna wow the director, win the lead with Axel and prove yourself to your mom. Nah. Why would I wanna see that?”
I wouldn’t wanna see that. That would be dull and a little too fast of an improvement for Fay. My guess is “the director will be off-putting, Fay will get at best a minor role, Axel won’t show, and Fay’s mom will be there with an ‘I told you so.’”
Hoping that Fay won’t literally interpret Luann’s friendly sarcasm, there – (no, she likely won’t). Still … Fay of course really wants Luann there – Fay’s mom? … Possibly not so much.
Luann, don’t you have anything better to do than attend the auditions for this play? That will probably take several hours. I’m glad you can just block out that much time on your calendar to watch Faye try to win the role, but won’t that mean not (1) attending class (2) studying and doing homework and (3) doing your actual paying job at Kids First? It’s great that you’ve decided to become Mary Worth and change the strip to one in which you stay in the background while offering advice on solving other people’s problems, but remember that Mary has plenty of time to spend on managing the guest stars’ crises, because she’s retired. You’re not.
next we cut to the tryouts and Fay’s magnificent performance. Mrs. Garcia is secretly pleased but keeps a low profile about it (because that’s just the way she is).

A thin wire to walk. On one side, Fay – the other side a pit full of snapping alligators, I mean, Mrs. Garcia.

Nothing wrong with letting the “A” plot simmer on the back burner for a few, while we check in on the “B” story. ✨

Greg is giving good things to Faye that he isn’t giving to Tiffany. Greg owes Tiffany her father and Ann in jail.

Who says Fay is wowing the director or getting the lead? For that matter, who says Axel is getting the male lead?

Fay she agree to let you be in the play with the stipulation that Luann could not attend the play.
