Bet he asks her to something, and the drama will be will she accept, or be too shocked or surprised to react. I bet she recovers and reacts affirmatively. There I go betting again, but you and almost gamble on the possible outcomes of these arcs.
Hey, the Guy ‘IS’ concerned about Fay so he sorta seems to care about her. Fay might pull this off yet, provided Axel doesn’t have already have a girlfriend.
Or Fay’s mom doesn’t put the KABOSH on the whole deal…..,
Maybe it’ll be like the other… sucky the first year as the characters all find themselves, but ultimately better and pretty kick-ass in the end…
I’m looking forward to seeing Luann from 3 different time periods all trying to get dates with Aaron at the same time to save the Luannverse from destruction and the hands of E.
So, will Fay “seize the day” so-to-speak and get herself to ask Axel out? I suspect that on Saturday, Fay WILL try to ask him out, but it may go wrong:
1) Fay could stumble over her words and get emotionally distraught and run away before Axel answers.
2) Fay could “freeze” and then make up some other non-dating sort of statement to Axel and the “dating issue” remains unresolved.
However, if Fay does get the words out in a coherent fashion, the four outcomes I see with my predictions as to likelihood for each are:
a) Axel says “sure” or something similar but with his " ’tude". 6/10 (with a high probability the Fay arc will continue into next week).
b) Axel doesn’t say anything (or the panel ends before he answers). 8/10 (with a near guarentee the arc will continue next week).
c) Axel says “No…” (and the panel ends there). 5/10 (and we have the arc continue next week and learn that Axel is saying no because he has to do something else at that time, but then he asks Fay to do something else at a time he is available).
d) Axel laughs at her and says “No way” (probably with more emphasized " ’tude".) 1/10 (an unlikely outcome and it could be the end of the arc, or it could continue next week with Fay seeking solace from Luann).
Okay, I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I really hope Fay pulls this off and she and Axel get to go out on this “date.”
But on the other hand, if Fay and Axel become a couple, Well, as much of a “couple” as two thirteen year olds can become, it’ll be kinda Sad. Because They will have done better in the “Romance Department” than the current, more “experienced young adult regulars……,”
Since Fay has shown the ability to overcome shyness (remember her about face at the audition?) and she has practiced what to say and do with Luann, I expect her to manage the challenge of asking Axel for a date with finesse. I think if this story is going anywhere, Axel will agree. Now the challenges are (1) getting Mom’s approval, and (2) agreeing on arrangements of where, when, what, and how. Maybe they could meet at a school function;Last week someone mentioned an event at the Fuse. Or how about a double date with Luann and Jack? That would tie up some loose ends. We definitely have not seen the last of Mom. I expect Luann will find herself in hot water over this situation, but she usually learns a lesson and goes on to another adventure.
@LUANAPHILE: I’m sure there are people in every ethnic group or religion who dislike their identity (or the identity of their family) and find that generating disgusting humor about that group gives pleasure to not only the self-hater, but others who dislike or hate that group. Sometimes its done to appeal to the haters of that group, and say ‘see, I’m not like those other rotten whatevers, can I be accepted as part of your group?’ As a Jew, I never found either Larry David or Jerry Seinfeld funny (Larry David wrote for his show, I think.) They seemed to want to show Jews in the worst possible light all the time. Kind of like posters who spend all their time on a site complaining about how boring it is. Both could just as easily move on, but seem to prefer trying to force others to listen to them. The Larry Davids of the world should just convert. But then, what would they have to create so-called humor about?
Those who predict momma drama forget the charm offensive Axel ran down on Mrs. Garcia. That was one reason she approved Fay’s involvement in the successful production. I don’t think she will mind Fay and Axel going out appropriate to their ages. She will keep one eye open though.
Axel may say, “Love to, but my mom won’t let me date yet”. Either SNL or some other venue used to have a humorous skit called “Irony Theater”. At crucial moments the host (in his smoking jacket by the fireplace) would pop in to explain the irony to the audience.

Axel would probably like an action or horror movie. Fay should go for it – she can grab on to him during the scary parts.
