Oh, and word to the wise, don’t call Sisyphus Sissy for short…….He’s touchy about that…

I’ve often wondered…why did Sisyphus try and get the boulder up the hill in one piece? Why not break it down into rubble….haul the rubble up the hill and re-asemble it? I mean…It’s never specified that he has to roll it up the hill intact, eh? Just thinking outside the box.

The Little Engine that Didn’t

It’s not a coincidence that if you say “Sisyphus” over and over again it sounds like a train.

All I can say is: "Boulder dash ! "

All right, Sys. Just let go and let boulder and Engine roll. The boulder is going to go back down anyway – so sez Zeus, by Jove!

Sisyphus and “man stranded on a tiny island with one coconut tree” cartoons are sure well represented!

Trouble ahead, trouble behind and you know that notion just crossed my mind.

Being the eternal optimist, I would see it as rolling the boulder DOWNHILL. Piece o’ cake! A child could do it. Now, just help me roll it back up the hill and we’ll suffer this “punishment” all over again. Snicker….

Considering just How Long he’s been rolling that boulder up the hill, either the Boulder or the Hill ought to have Worn Away to nothing by now.
