Brave Puck – staying close to the Toddler despite the germs and peanut butter.

PS – love the ear’ed hazmat helmets.

Ah good, it looks as if the Woman has had a chance to replenish her popsicle supply since her first day alone with the Toddler and Baby.

Does Lupin’s coffee cup really need a hazmat covering? Perhaps just a bit of overkill there? Or are these Killer Pink Eye germs?

Not sure BSL4 suits are really necessary boys but one must take precautions around toddlers when germs are involved :)

Love brave Pucky in the loaf position even in his hazmat suit. The Toddler certainly appreciates the company.

Even the thermos has a hazmat suit! Also, Pucky proves that no article of clothing can prevent or delay a kitty loaf!

“It IS old cheese, Kitten- shaved Pecorino Romano, to be exact. I know Hector pretty well, and this is something that he’d find irresistible. But he’s never gone “rogue” like this before. I can’t imagine why Jimmy’d throw it out. Even older cheeses have value- he wouldn’t throw it out unless it had actually gone bad. And even at that, sometimes it’s hard to tell…” Tre-C was still sniffing the shards on the floor; “ Maybe one of his workers?” “Right now that doesn’t matter. We need to get outside- today’s trash day and the truck may have already come. If that’s the case, Hector’s on his way to the dump!” So Megan and Tre-C ran out through the “side door” opening and back to the platform where they could see the trash can. The lid was off the can. Megan quickly and deftly jumped onto the top edge of the can and balanced herself to peer in. “Dammit! He’s not here- it’s empty.” Tre-C had started to sniff the ground in a circle around the base of the trash can. “I can’t get a scent, Meg, I don’t think he got out. What now?” Megan sighed and jumped off the can; “You ever been to a city dump?”

What happened to the automaton bird with eyes squinting in calculated fury?

(Fury is not normally the sort of emotion that is calculated, so that makes it even more sinister.)

Pucky, you’re wonderful, the ultimate kind and caring nurse cat. Even from your adorable little hazmat suit. Although considering you’ve decided toddlers are mostly peanut butter and germs, I suspect the hazmat suit is more against the peanut butter. It sticks so in your fur.

Toddler’s on the Big Red Couch, and has the Fuzzy Blanket, Pengy and Puck. That’ll be as comforted as a sick Toddler can be.

At the beginning of summer, Tom Racine (A comics blogger, check him out here. https://vimeo.com/user8130003 ) posted a photo of his first box of Otter Pops of the season.

I hadn’t had any in ages, so I got a box.

    Haven’t regretted it. :D

This is perfect. We all know that Puck is the Comforter in Chief. He stays with the Woman and spoons with her and watches British mysteries. So it is only fitting, that Pucky would be the Toddlers nurse as well. Love this strip.

I understand that “pink eye” is highly infectious and dangerous for pregnant women’s unborn. However, when I had it as a child, I hardly noticed except that it got me out of school and quarantined from other kids for awhile.

The first time I saw this arc and the little hazmat suits I must have laughed helplessly for half an hour. Just thinking about it later brought a grin and a chuckle. And, as I recall, it gets better!

Does anyone have suggestions for helping a cat who’s somewhat incontinent and tends to get urine scald? I feel like a monster because I don’t seem to be able to keep her dry for very long. Thanks!

When I get sick enough where I spend much of the day in bed, our chubby torty Shadow spends nearly all of her time on the bed pushed up right next to me. Of course, she sleeps most of that time, but then, so do I.

My sisters and I all had pink eye at the same time. Chicken pox, and mumps too. They all got measles on the last day of school, not me! My poor mom. I don’t know how she did it. She had 4 of us to dress, comb hair, make lunches and feed for school every day. She worked shift work at a paper mill. She was a tough lady!

All we get to see of the kitties’ faces is through the little window in the heads of the hazmat suits, and yet, there is such expression in their eyes. What a cartooning talent Georgia has!

One of my absolute favourites! The BCN crew in HAZMAT suits, so cute! I would really like to see inside their wardrobes, to see all their outfits hanging up nicely in a row (except maybe Lupins, that could be an adventure just to see it!).
