Merlot must be beyond the Capps’ means.

The Capp’s would like to hop to their dinner, rather than wine about it. The waiting time in some of those restaurants can leave a person with that sour-grapes feeling.

Do I detect a disapproving frown on the waiter’s face while getting the beers? Should he care?

Too much rubbish talked about wine…… coffee’s getting the same treatment.

I wonder why Andy Capp fries are never advertised on here. This would be an ideal place for them.

If the place is that snobbish, the waiter shouldn’t be carrying a note pad…

Most wine snobs repeat what they read somewhere. Just order what you like. Be it a single malt scotch or a Miller Genuine Draft.

I have a beer taste and a champagne pocket book! Yes I said that right! ;o]

There are certain dishes – and I don’t care how fancy the restaurant – that a good beer or ale goes better with, than wine.

Restaurants push the wine because of the humongous price mark up. Even “house wine” is a money maker.

You’d think Andy would order more than two bottles.
