How long has it been since there was the sound of a can opener opening a can in a “Garfield” strip?

Okay, Garfield. I guess hunger can make you start hearing things.

When we had cats, they would come when they heard the can opener; the thing is, we’ve only ever had manual can openers.

Apparently, leather makes some kind of sound when it’s bent: fat cat looks just like one of my kids whenever I would open my wallet…… behind closed doors…… at the other end of the house!!

They hear the sound of the air rushing past your hand as it approaches the handle on the drawer that the can opener is in…Fact!

Garfield eats caned food???

I’m fond of eating the Cracker Barrel extra-sharp cheddar squares. And, I swear, I could be on the other side of town when I open one and my cats would be there saying “Cheese? Some for us? Some for us?”

I think that can opener sound, is now breed into cats. I say this because my sisters new born kittens try and follow the sound and they are not even weaned yet??
