Tiny House = 1/2 the usable space of a camper trailer and 1/2 the amenities at 3 times the cost. I really haven’t figured out the lure of the tiny house over a nice camper other than with the tiny house you get to climb a ladder to get to bed where if you try and sit up you will bump your head on the ceiling.
You know it seems to me I heard that there was a time when people hated their landlords for providing such tiny living spaces. Now we chose it as a ‘life style’. Maybe that is why jail doesn’t work to rehabilitate people.? They like the homey appeal?
Pretty much. As a service brat I have lived in a 40’s vintage single wide trailer to a 60’s vintage single wide (MUCH better), to a end unit of a two story 4plex (all base housing), to single family ranch house. to half a duplex and finally a two story farm house (Dad’s Mom owned the farm and it saved money on the insurance if people lived there). Since I got married I have lived in what my father in law called a six pen hog house (it was SMALL) to a single family ranch, to an apartment complex in the Twin Cites, to my current split level, with three baths and a big family room/temporary apartment down stairs. (It’s not an empty nest until their stuff is out of the basement. And home is where when you go there they have to take you in)
Tiny Houses? Sure, can I order a six pack to go? I can cut doors in a 40 foot shipping container and turn it into a hallway between by tiny house rooms.

McMansions vs very nicely fitted out shipping crates. Can’t I just get a decent sized house or apartment?
