P1- The one thing that is too cool for school is moustaches have made a triumphant return to MHS. Molly’s tribute to Clark Gable is coming in nicely.

Why not use a hippo during softball season? They have to have some use during the rest of the year aside from being an ideal Christmas gift.

This could be why kids don’t collect stamps, coins, or even baseball cards like they used to….they are now collecting hippos.

I got a lot of joy watching Willie Mays play baseball for many years, until he hung on too long and it was kind of pathetic. I wonder why this strip reminds me of that?

I just realized how cruel Linda is in P2. She calls her teammates hippos? First we had a cow judge, now hippo softball players.

I have not looked this up yet. Wasn’t there a cartoon called “Peter Potamus”? one of those Hanna/Babera (Sp?) productions.

I knew a kid back in the early ’70’s who was also “too cool for school”. He ended up doing 5 to 7 down in Pontiac, last I heard.
