I went to the store one day. When I got out of the car something felt funny as I walked. I had on sandals from two different pairs. Black and Navy blue. LOL.
Either the fact that her earrings don’t match alerted her to a possible shoe mismatch or she wants to have a totally mismatched day so that it doesn’t seem odd.
A friend of ours noticed his students looking at his feet and grinning. Looked down to discover he had on one loafer and one wingtip. Now, that’s unconscious.
I take a large shoe size and due to a lack of selection my shoes all look identical unless I look closely for wear and tear. I discovered a couple days ago I wore one new shoe and one old shoe all winter. I have one practically brand new shoe in my closet and three that are only fit for rambles in the woods, swamps etc.
I once went to church with one white shoe and one black shoe on. I didn’t realize it until my pastor said, “Is this for April Fool’s Day?” In fact, it was April 1st, but I hadn’t thought about that, either. I had just been too sleepy to notice when I got dressed.
Joe discovered the key to happiness. She’ll tell him what she wants him to know. (Unless it’s one of those, “If I have to tell you, it means you don’t really love me.” kinds of things.)
I totally did this once, when I was in college I had white sneakers for my day to day stuff and black sneakers for my job at the food court. One morning I got dressed without turning on the lights so I wouldn’t disturb my room mate and when I got to work I found I had one of each shoe on. Fortunately the food court was literally down the hall so once it was pointed out I just needed to run back to my room and get the other shoe.
I once looked down at my feet and found one white and one black shoe. The next day I wore all black and white with alternate shoes (and earrings) for a cool Harlequin effect.

No, they were two different styles, as well as two different colors.
