Ever notice how asymmetrical baseball is? Maximum of 4 players on offense at any given time, vs. 9 on defense. Defense can use the whole field (2 dimensions), but offense has to stay really close to a straight line (essentially 1 dimension). Team that can get 27 men on base but can’t get any of them home loses to opponent that gets only 1 hit, but it’s a home run.
