… and Honeymoon springs into action with a hot tip for her grandfather. If he acts fast enough, he could get to Gypsy before Jackal’s men do.

Honeymoon’s burning up the airwaves. Staff at BMBG are bowing in reverence.

Silly Me !!!   In the first panel the balloon pointer looked a little vague like it was the boy addressing Jr. by his name. I was thinking what an awesome casual home atmosphere.

I hope they roughed up the guy up that killed officer Cigo. I am guessing the dog was more tough than he looked and got the shooter into a panic .. and then some people just like shooting moving targets.

Just occurred to me: BB killed a cop in the original story and left it at Tracy’s door with an handwritten note. Tracy says “The handwriting is BB’s” (never mind how he knew). Isn’t that proof enough?

If this is the murder in question, since the cop was presumably killed in BB’s lair, and how could Trixie have witnessed it?

Since when does Junior have “Little Orphan Annie” style eyes? That doesn’t seem right.

The race is officially on!!!

I think they might be too late to save poor Gypsy and their only chance of getting BB Eyes will be to get Warbucks to tell the whereabouts of his estranged second wife. I think this summer mystery has a ways to go before it gets wrapped up.

And here I thought that, during slow periods, the Police Dpt. would have it’s staff look through old, cold cases, for possible clues they may have missed.

Honeymoon; didn’t your grandfather give you that Wrist Wizard for emergencies? I don’t think telling him that you now where his witness is, constitutes an emergency.

I know the wrist radio is standard tracy gear, but wow are they in for a shock when smart phones show up.

the only good thing about that train warming up in the distance is that this Godawful story may just be coming to an end soon!!

DOUBLEUP (watching a TV re-enactment of the last panel aired as part of a show abut the case aired several months later): I love it when they say that. Say that!

Off course Junior’s eyes are like that, it’s a crossover. I’m surprised Sandy wasn’t the poor deceased canine in First Responders. BTW, if Gypsy Rose Lee married Ben-Gay would she become Gypsy Gay?.

Maybe there is some hope for Gypsy Gay! —Thanks to ever-alert Honeymoon Tracy! That last panel is classic, and Honeymoon is getting in on the act. Now, Pop-Pop has to snap-snap and get cracking, before B-B Eyes’ crew of killers makes her testimony disappear, along with her body, just like (?) Trixie Tinkle-Warbucks (or is Daddy holding out on some portentous secret?)….

Rereading today’s strip, Jr. says he had the usual sort of jobs, but there was “one job for Tracy.” Assuming he means that his job is still drawing pictures of people from witness descriptions, who gave Tracy a description of Gypsy? They are tying to locate her by name, not what she looks like.
