My history is a bit rusty but I believe Sandwich, Hoagie, Contessa Blimpie II of Sub-Marinae, and Phillip of Cheesesteak were the principal combatants in the Lunchtimic Wars during the Age of Heroes. It’s only fitting that countless historical re-enactors pay homage to that great conflict from 11 AM to 2 PM daily…

Not to mention “The Count of Monte Cristo”. (I’ll have to read that someday.)

The story was that the Earl Of Sandwich loved gaming so much that he refused to be interrupted for a meal. So he opted for meat in between two slices of bread, and the sandwich was born.

But why do you wear a helmet, kid? You paranoid that the sky will fall on your head or something?

Fun fact: the Fourth Earl of Sandwich’s incompetent management of the Royal Navy during the American War of Independence is one of the factors credited with costing Britain the war.
