Looks as if Puck is trying to spill a little tea himself. And Lupin’s hat indicates he is ready for adventure.
Elvis carrying that roll of paper towels is one of the most adorable images ever! Mommy’s little helper is definitely the Amelia Bedelia of cats! Bless his heart, with his view blocked, if he’s not careful, he’s going to walk right off that end table. If the roll of paper towels ends up unrolling all over the floor, maybe Tommy’s Woman can take it (them?) home with her for Sophie to use in an art project.
Too bad Bookstore Woman didn’t bring Beatrix along for a visit with her foster dads.
I want to thank each and everyone of you who gave me support in my grief in losing my baby, Elsa. You are all the most wonderful group of people I have ever come across. But, why should I be surprised? You’re cat people. Love to you all.
Sunday Funday!!!! Ok, the Mega-Orb gives so much, I’d like to give back to the Orb, but of course, I can’t do it alone. Since soon we will no longer need a spoiler zone, I think if we had a designated spot each week for folks to share something fun, great news, a funny story, a joke, anything. This is not to prescribe that this is the only place or time to do it, if you have great news or something to share at anytime, by all means DO so!
Just like the spoiler zone, whoever thinks of it first on a Sunday should start it, even if you don’t have something to share!!!
Lupin, our lodger cat, is an invalid at the moment. His owner, who knows that he makes himself at home here by eating Sooty’s food, playing with her toys and generally getting very comfy, told me that they took him to the vet. He is walking badly and they thought he might have been hit by a car. Lupin doesn’t dash out in front of cars so he might have got hurt another way. True to form, Lupin has limped in for food, eat tickles and a comfy time on the chair. He is limping badly but they has not found any breaks or fractures. So that’s good news. It’s been suggested that Sooty takes him out in a small wheelchair. Happily he is doing well, appetite undiminished and evidently enjoying being treats as a wounded hero cat.
Spilling the tea! Love it! In college, my girlfriend Marissa used to call it “cheesement” which comes from the Spanish term for gossip “chismoso” (I’ve probably butchered the spelling!) I absolutely adore Pucky’s style! Xxxxx
Happy Bunday, everybody. Things are quiet around here this morning. I made a large pot of potato soup yesterday and Paul had a large bowl of it for dinner. My daughter is taking me out this morning so I can get some other canned soups and the ingredients for my tomato, onion and lentil soup. I’m also going to pick up some Boost or Ensure so he gets some protein into him. I don’t want him to lose any more weight, or he won’t be well enough for our celebration cruise in December.
My husband insists men don’t gossip, they exchange pertinent information. I do know that in the little town I work in, if you want to know what is going on, go listen to the farmers in the morning while they get their coffee. My first boss there, 20 years ago was a noted gossip. One day she got a really juicy tidbit and couldn’t wait to get home to share with her husband. She told him the scoop and he looked at her and said “That’s old news, I heard it at the train elevator last week!”
I recall an advert Cat Fancy once ran featuring a photo of a woman seated on a couch and a cat on her lap with copy that read, “He would never tell anyone about your crush on the mailman.”
May I ask for some boops and good thoughts for our little Siamese Apple? She has her 3 month check up with the oncologist later this morning to check on the lymphoma treatments, but a few days ago she developed a soft cyst/ growth in her abdomen. Hoping for the best. She has been in treatment for about a year and a half and was doing well, Thanks in advance to all!
Wow! Never say comics aren’t educational. I googled “spilling the tea” and learned it originated in the 1980s and was made popular by the movie “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.” It refers to Southern tea parties where traditionally women sit and gossip plus the letter “T” also stands for truth. Okay, we have all learned something today.
I have heard this term about, spilling some tea, while spending summers in South Carolina with my Grandmother, in the 70’s. Took me a good ten years to figure out what it meant!
I think I’ve read all the comments, and hopefully all now know that Georgia was spot on in her use of “spilling the tea”, but I haven’t seen anyone mention that it looks like the woman on the left (her sister? or is that the woman from upstairs? or Tommy’s woman? I’m not sure….) is actually having some tea dribble out of her mouth in the last panel. I assume that is why the woman has that look on her face.
I was not expecting a BCN x RuPaul’s Drag Race crossover, yet here we are. Pucky’s glasses look similar to those used on RPDR for the “reading” challenge. I need a moment…

Oh, Pucky. Always fashionable and ready to gossip, like some other kitties I know.
I would much rather “spill the tea” myself—I do not care for beans and do not want to spill them all over my conversations.

Having a Tea party and spilling gossip.
No matter what, it is so cute. Including the paper towels walking in with a Siamese tail.

I’ve heard of “spilling the beans”, but “spilling the tea” is a new phrase to me. Maybe it comes from the British mystery shows the woman enjoys.

Zedd, featuring Foxes: Clarity, or should that be Clari-tea?
Hot tea in a china cup
Sugar, lemon, or some cream?
Make sure that it doesn’t spill,
But it’s not quite what it seems.
Tea spills, but there is no splash
Just some gossip and some laughs.
Puck’s there in his chic eyewear,
But there seems to be no graph!
…….
Elvis and Lupin wait,
What will be the teacups’ fate?
No one seems to be scared,
But it’s wise to be prepared!
…….
If there’s no spill,
Why does Elvis have towels all ready?
If there’s gossip,
Lupin lets them see how
To have clari-tea!
